I need help understanding drops and loot
I'm having a difficult time being awarded drops or getting loot with adequate items.
It seems everyone around me is getting the good items like legendary or exotic items. Am I like, not playing enough?
It appears you have to play a shit load just to increase vanguard or crucible rank. I pick up bounties and complete them by its like each victory or completion is moot. My friend is a 28 and I'm a 24. I play more than he does.
What should I do? Do I need to purchase something to increase chances of drops? Like from the speaker?
I'm not vanguard rank 1 yet. But I'm crucible 1.
Any insight would be great.

All I can say is grind out the 24 strikes. You'll 100% get at least one blue engram at the end plus what ever you pick up while doing the strike + there's a chance that the blue at the end might be a legendary I'm a lvl 29 and that's all I've been doing. Other then the raid and the 28 nightfall, that'll be your best bet! It's a grind tho not gonna lie

Edited by Spectacular Lex: 10/4/2014 7:55:54 AMDo the queens bountys get queens orders and do queen strikes. Every time you finish a queens strike it will give you a piece of legendary gear. That will get you started on getting gear that has the boost that you want. Check out the factions and see if they have gear you want if not just stick to vanguard for me vanguard had the auto rifle ammo boost that I wanted so I stuck with them but see what works for you. And to up vanguard just do all the boonies every day and sit in a vanguard strike playlist for a while. For exotics I've gotten all of mine from the stranger on the weekends just save your strange coins and motes of light.

Dude join a faction. It's a bitch to get faction rank up, but amazing when you can buy all that legendary gear.
