I was thinking of a siege event they could do. Maybe set it in the town instead of the tower. That would be cool, we could have a new area to explore and a giant public event. By giant I mean 16 since that seems to be the max for one group in a single area(if this is wrong let me know). Where we have turrets, using them to just mow down coming swarms. And fallen climbing the walls and having to shoot down or they climb up and it just becomes a fight to catch up. It can last for hours or for a set number of enemies to kill. I would like a timer event myself because I want to see how many kills I could rack up at one time. We could even have air strikes that can be called in during random times, but not too many as that would make it easier. This could be a once a week thing for everyone with degrees of challenge. For max to near max level players there are strike bosses that show up, maybe more than one? For obvious reasons make them somewhat weaker because it takes awhile just to kill one normally. This would be friggen impossible and make a challenge that would be epic. Each week could have a different race, fallen, vex, cabal, maybe the queen? It would be nice to have more than 16 people but it still would be fun getting to have every one blasting away at hordes of enemies. The area could be a little smaller then the tower, with your team guarding a section of the wall instead of the entire thing to make it more believable. Or the reverse could be even more fun. Where you and a squad of 15 race down from the tower to fight through the siege to get in the town and clear out the darkness. Then you could add hostage rescue areas in with general slaughtering. Back up a NPC squad that is over whelmed by surrounding enemies. I think there are other possibilities but my brain has said it is Friday and doesn't want to work. lol Possible rewards depend on level, maybe exotic engrams for actually surviving the entire siege? Edit: slight change since my vision of how the tower and city were was a bit skewed. General concept still holds for the first but the reverse is your group returns to find the city under siege and fight through massive battles to get to a chuck of the wall blown to pieces. Come over the smoking rubble to fight hordes of more monsters to clear out the city and save everyone that has managed to survive for this long. The map could be a little bigger in this instance just to allow for longer play through and this could be a "get this many kills" event since your clearing out instead of stopping an invasion. Or maybe use this as a penalty game if the team cannot beat the siege event?
