While this is a good idea im gonna edit if you have the item in your inventory you should be able to equip it as a "skin" like i use my helm of inmost light because i like the buffs but be able to wear my legendary armor with the luki armor skin

Right but the fact that you havent earned it is the problem its like a level 10 guy looking like he has the helm of inmost light when he hasent even earned it yet when i got it off an exotic engram from doing a 28 strike as a 26
