You see, the reason to why people post a thread about it is not to get attention from you, who ironically think you're a special flower for posting this thread, it is to protest against Bungie not delivering the product they advertised.
Big whop you say, well, some people had high expectations since they know full well what Bungie are capable of. Destiny..? not even worthy of being called a Bungie game.

I think if you are that passionate about a game you need to make one. It will be interesting to find out how you hold up under weak criticism.
-
Weak critisism? What exactly is weak about cutting out 90% of the story and closing what was supposed to be an open world?
-
I get that. Yet, how does Bungie lay a ten year undertaking in your lap unless they have it in place now? We invested a meager sum for a share in this franchise. Despite the critic's feedback. I still have a good time, Fun playing this game and watching how it unfolds. Apologies if there are those among you who don't. What do you think would make it better? It meets my expectations of what a lot of folks want to see in a game. I just want to know if Halo is going to have spectacular locations like Destiny.
-
Halo was spectacular for its' time. It was even breath taking! This game was advertised as so much more than it is. I'm not hating you for liking, like it all you want. What you think doesn't reflect on my experiences, and for the record: I still play the game. I'm just not liking it as much as they made me think I would.
-
Some things you protest. Some things it is better to return the product and walk away. If you can't, well that sucks. Spending countless hours protesting a game that was developed that didn't meet your standards will not change anything. Return it and ask for your money back. Don't sit there and whine about it on the internet, because it isn't going to change that the game was made or how it was made. Protesting about human rights, murder, political error are protests that have a point. Protesting about a game? Get real. There are way more problems in this world than a video game that you don't like.
-
Um they asked us for feedback both bad and good. Unless your running the show then I don't see where your statement is relative to what Bungie asked of us. Don't like it return the app.
-
Or your Bungie account.

Edited by FenHarel: 10/2/2014 4:57:42 AMGiving negative feedback actually does make a difference in quite a few cases, shall we point out all these recent patches? It's only a matter of time before Bungie starts addressing the lack of a decent story, either through DLC, free content updates, or at the very least, keep it in mind for Destiny 2. If you want to make a case of "There's more important things to do in the world than QQ about a game" then maybe you should evaluate why you're here QQing about people QQing about a game...
-
You don't get to choose what other people protest about, and that would be all.
-
Setting high expecations on a game just because of a past game is foolish. Not Bungies fault if there were reasons that led to the game not bieng as great as some people were expecting it to be.
-
I never said I was quitting. But Destiny isn't the game they made us believe, or do you disagree? And building expectations from their history of achievements is perfectly acceptable; if not and in a different scenario, how would you apply for a job? I've played Bungie games since marathon (the game was good for it's time) so to be honest this definitely blindsided me.
-
its really not its about using past data to extrapolate a predication for the quality of the future game within an acceptable margin for error and its quiet rare get major outliers from these predictions the problem isnt destiny not living up to the hype (made by bungie/activision) the problem is destinys content is just so shallow for halo games this wasnt too bad as it meant bungie focused on the areas to ensure quality over quantity but as they expanded into open world it meant being judged by skyrim/defiant/farcry 3 standards which destinys quantity and quality of level design dont really stand up to all that well nevermind the pvp having to stand up to shooters with over double the list of gametypes plus private games the main thing holding destiny together is the core gameplay is amazing 10/10
-
You sir make a great point. As far as content goes for being an open world type game, it is relatively shallow. But holy crap is it fun. I freakin love this game. It's been made to be updated and grown on the fly. Give it time. There will be new things to fight. New objectives and incentives etc. bungie IMO did not disappoint. They gave us a game to get started with and have since then begun work on growing it further.
-
OMG a common sense reply.. I am speechless..
-
seriously how many people bought an iPhone 6 on the name alone. And now people hate then. Same concept. Stop buying hype.
-
I've played many Bungie games and those games made my expectations high for Destiny. Even though its not as good as I thought it would be I still love it to death because Bungie makes the best first person space shooters!
Bungie Luv
*cough* BioWare *cough* =P
