I understand all of that, and a part of me is thinking maybe they shouldn't mess with the Jovian gas giants, just because of the fact that scientifically, most of us are at this day and age unable to believe planets like these could ever be livable for organisms such as us. We can't fathom how even the smallest oceans or masses of land could begin to exist on a gas giant, at least one such as Jupiter, because that would simply offset the gravitational pull of the entire world with the extra, growing weight of land and water. Wouldn't that realllly eff up our solar system once it started veering in a direction, provided, in time, it started heading for any planets, moons, or shit.. our sun.. The other part of me is listening to what I know - this is a game, and it has a fictional story. Science-fiction, at least. But the realization is that magic exists in the Destiny universe, multiverse, or whatever. SPACE MAGIC! I think it's pretty dope. I also understand how it can piss off those who just don't want gas giants to be a thing. Let it happen, and let Bungie explain their thoughts about it, if they ever take the time to do such a thing. I would love it if that happened, whether they make them explorable in the game, or reveal more about them in the lore, and I know many others would too. I haven't checked my knowledge, but I'm pretty certain the Nine came from, or are at least positioned on or around the Jovian worlds. We have been told that Xur comes from the Jovians, and that he is a merchant of, and is an emissary to the Nine themselves. Most recently, we've gotten another emissary, but she also seems even more mysterious, in an odd - and awesome - way. And of course the theory, strengthened by the convenience of the Trials of the Nine, that explains my new favorite Crucible map is set on a Jovian world. Unless we already know that. Seriously though, I wanna see Xur become a major part of the story, he seems cool as shit. This is evidence of the fact that the Jovians, or at least some of them, became hospitable sometime post Traveler entry into Earth's atmosphere, where it discovered us. The Light reached out and touched every, if not most of the planets in and close to our solar system. It created new life, gave humanity, and nature as a whole, newfound strength, and they gave it magical freaking properties because even its creators can't fully explain what it is.

Can I go to Pluto then? You didn't mention anything about asking people to go to Pluto.

This guy has the most basic knowledge of astronomy and is trying to pretend like he's got the slightest clue as to the atmosphere of other planets and moons. What happens when you take into account differentials in gravitational pulls? What about the complete lack of any oxygen what so ever on any other planet but earth? This is a science fiction game. Well seeing as how the traveler has the god like potential to terraform planets into completely different and very habitable places, is it not possible that it could mold the gas giants into more livable areas.

They have moons that were supposedly discussed prior to release. Xur hails from one of those moons or a colony established within the atmospheres of the planets you mention. Further more there are cards for Jupiter and Saturn. Mercury itself is referred to as being terra formed and even has map in game. I image this whole location was cut intentionally as you can read in interviews and PR post launch that Bungie dodges questions relating to Mercury, sometimes even the other worlds. We also have the Reef which serves as a go between for the inner and outer worlds. The reef itself should have been included as a hub world and jumping off point for the outer worlds. We ask for these locations as the lore ties into them and they look to have deep stories(again in the lore we know of).
