The first thing I noticed while we walked up the cold steps of the Tower was the way the air felt. It was heavy with a feeling of displeasure and judgement, confused and enraged Guardians. As we walked up the second row of steps, they swarmed around us with curiosity and began examining the child I carried on my shoulders, never coming too close to the questionable pair that walked before them. We walked through them, and they parted to form a path. The child and I were silent as we made our way to Xander 99-39. I had the child get off of my shoulders. In my left hand I held a crumpled piece of paper with 100 heads on it. In my right, I held my Maverick. I threw the paper to the ground, and it shattered the silence, because at the moment it hit the hard floor, there was also a loud crash of thunder, and with that came a deafening uproar. I caught the former head of Xander 99-39 and jumped onto the railing above the steps down to the Vanguard and Crucible area. I stood there for a moment while the crowd grew larger and their uproar grew louder. And then they fell silent. I held up the head, and said "You know not yet why I have done this. So I will explain myself. This is to send a message. A message of rebellion." I tossed the head into the crowd and they moved out of it's way as it fell to the ground with a hard clank. I pulled the Fallen girl back onto my shoulders. "Do you not see this child? Does she not appear innocent? You may wonder why I have taken a Fallen child to the Tower. I do it because she is my responsibility now. I have slain her parents and now I must look after her. Do not look upon me with disgust, for you have surely done the same. The Traveller has brought us back to fight these people, and we never bothered to ask why! So I'm asking 'why?' I am calling a rebellion to action! Any else who question the Traveller should come with me. I am declaring war upon the Guardians until I understand why I took this child's future! I will see you on the battlefield, be it as allies or enemies." It wasn't a great speech, but I hadn't taken time before to plan it out. The speech was driven by my rage and sorrow. I jumped down from the stairs and a roar of insults and displeasure filled the Tower's halls. The child now walked beside me, holding my hand. It was the same hand that had killed her parents. And I wanted to cry.
Just so you guys know, my writing will often sound low-quality and possibly repetitive because I just write it all out and don't polish it.
Here's the first part of my fan fiction that is apparently to become a series: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/71062037/0/0

Maybe, just maybe we are fighting them because, they kind of expressed their hostility when they slaughtered thousands at Twilight Gap. That may have something to do with it. Not saying that there isn't more to the picture, but I don't think we are in the wrong either.

I'll be one of the guardians cursing at you ;)

Wow, I've been really negative about destiny and even returned it.But if you play the game and treat this as the narrative then I could see it actually become playable. Bravo, continue this and you'll give alot of people who still have the game an actual story to satisfy both their desire for literary merit in a game and semi decent gameplay.
