EDIT: Sorry but I am done with the topic. Together with similar topics I think we made a point and Bungie/Activision noticed. In the end it does not really matter if 404A is true or troll and we will probably never find out anyway.
Some are having a blast with Destiny and others (probably) see it's huge potential but currently are dissapointed by its repetitive gameplay and overall lack of content. As far as I am concerned both are right.
Since I am not the type of guy to delete a topic the original post remains in the spoiler below.
Since I get many positive reactions in such a short time in my reply to Deej in in
this post by Mohamed , it just might deserve a topic on its own.
In short the topic concerns a number of claims, among others content purposely left out of the game, addressed by someone known as 404Architect who is/pretends to be a current/former Bungie/Activision employee (or at least very close to them).

You are being trolled, Internet. Don't let it happen.
Bungie employees are easy to spot in the wild
Sorry Deej nothing personal but educated C2B (Consumer to Business) for once
I've investigated the entire story myself and being a (former) fraud auditor I am pretty well trained at both (data) analysis and 'reading through the lines.' Although you may choose not to believe my former occupancy and disregard my opinion:
- There is no proof of who he/she is, let alone a former or current employee of Bungie. Also there is no proof just how easy Bungie employees are to spot in the wild. (if you ever been to Africa, I could tell you that even a 2+ ton Rhino can easily be overlooked between rocks or in the bush )
- There is no proof of what he/she is telling us is true.
There is however some circumstantial evidence underlining his/her story including a 2013 article by IGN (and videos attached) and link which makes very clear intended content Bungie promised- sufficient enough to show and 'brag' about to one of the worlds most read game sites- did not make it to the final game. Especially the fully rendered storyline cut scenes in the reveal ViDoc make more sense than the story included in the game itself. The reddit story itself all started from this mysterious and now deleted post of a self-claimed bungies tester which is supported by this photo taken from the ViDoc which together lean towards collaborated evidence. Last but not least IGN picked up on the reddit story and their suspicion is clearly not in their best interest unless they believe to be onto something.
- What does concern me however is not what exactly he/she is saying but HOW it is been said and WHEN. To start with the latter; there is very little time between the questions being asked and his/her response. Secondly and more important he/she seems to be frustrated him/herself, yet he/she speaks of Bungie (and Activision) and its employees with dignity and respect, seems to know what he/she is talking about AND, most important, is very consistent in all of this. This even applies for negative answers, like I don't know / can't answer, which are most often followed by some sort of explanation AND then still are consistent with the rest his/her story. Counting against this is the lack of pressure like in a one/multiple to one interview but still all of this together (timing and consistency) is extremely difficult to do in a made up story.
Conclusive: Together with my (our) own observations that the final product -although being developed for years AND put in the market otherwise- is lacking in both story and content, my opinion is that the statements of 404Architect should be considered legit. Future content and DLC hold against claims made by Bungie itself in the a 2013 IGN preview and claims 404Architect made by will provide the required evidence to confirm or deny this statement.
In addition:
user made anonymous by me
Wat did bungie advertise that didn't come in the game?
THIS and THIS
Especially THEIR Pilars #1, 2, 4 & 7. Even a blind sees how far it is off
EDIT: Thanks for all your response, positive and negative.
