Basically we need to clear the cache, here's how:
1. Press and hold the power button on the front of the console until it shuts all the way down. (5-6 seconds)
2. Unplug the power cable from the wall and wait about a minute before plugging back in.
3. Power on and Game on!
This has worked for me and seriously, -blam!- those lizard squad sluts for raining on everyone's parade. If you weren't aware Destiny and other game titles were the target of a recent attack made by a no talent group of "hackers". It wasn't really even a hack. But anywho, share the love!

Wow, much simpler than what I did. I went through the painstaking process of setting up a static IP and forwarding a ton of ports. Which did work and now my NAT type is set to OPEN which was also a potential cause if the cattle error so Bungie claims. If the cache fix doesn't work try following the steps on the portforward site (http://portforward.com/) and forward the Bungie ports in the post below.
