Lolz. The DLC for Destiny isn't on the disc. That stuff is placeholder. The DLC isn't even done yet.
I don't see why a lot of people dislike DeeJ to the point where he's considered a detriment.

As some else said, Deej spreads lies/misinformation, doesn't do his job, and is a terrible community manager. He could be the coolest person irl but is clearly not here
-
There are also places in the game where people have broken barriers and found areas. DLC or not, that is complete bullshit.
-
That is pretty hilarious.

Edited by Sean: 9/30/2014 6:50:35 PMDeeJ is terrible for the simple fact that he spreads misinformation. -"Destiny really begins at Level 20." -"In less than three weeks, you’ll be welcome to all the news from the Reef that you can discover for yourself. I ain’t saying a damn thing about the story until then, and that’s a promise." -[ABOUT CLANS] "We hope they’ll band together to tackle everything that Destiny has to offer. Clans can build their strength by outfitting their members with what they need to kick ass in every mode. That will mean sharing activities. That will mean playing games. We need clans to bring this new world alive and infuse it with some culture and civilization. We hope Clans will have storied collisions in competitive matchmaking. It would be awesome if they were known to many people, instead of just each other." -[ABOUT EXOTICS] "When your friends ask where you got yours, you’ll have amazing stories to tell. " -[ABOUT COMPETITIVE] "You tell us. What’s the competitive scene going to look like? We’ll support the community however we can. We always have. We love that stuff. " -There's also a quote that I can't seem to find where he goes on about how Destiny is expansive and to not trust the people who are going through the beta code and found that it would only be 4 maps to explore (which he doesn't even touch on). He just glosses over the fact that we don't have much for the game itself (the details even showed the small amount of "story" missions). If anyone can find that quote, then that would be great, but apparently it wasn't in a weekly update. and the Mail Sack is a complete joke. "Why are Warlocks the best class in the whole world?"

Yeah, it's just cut content being sold to you at a later date.
The DLC isn't even done yet.
Sure And people dislike Deej because he's a terrible community manager that just ignores any and all problems that happen outside of his little pen of sheep.
-
I hadn't really noticed. He does a great job with the media, and I loved the Community Theatres. Although his updates used to be incredibly vague. This was even after the game was fully revealed. He'd just wax poetic about playing with people and missions.
Yeah, it's just cut content being sold to you at a later date.
Some things are better suited to being expansions than with the main game. Would Burial at Sea and Shivering Isles have worked if they were immediately accessible with their parent games? Well, Shivering Isles, maybe.

The DLC isn't even done yet.
Sure
DeeJ said it. Pretty sure lying about stuff like that is illegal.
-
So cutting content and then charging you for it is okay? Tartan pls The "expansions" aren't the same as BaS either. BaS wasn't even planned for Infinite, whereas these "expansions" are, and are very clearly just cut content.
Pretty sure lying about stuff like that is illegal
Because that's stopped companies doing it in the past, right? False advertisement is illegal too, but that happens in the video game industry all of the time.
-
Depending on how much the content costs to produce. Very few things are free in this world, still fewer in the games industry. I don't see why people can't just act with honesty and integrity. It'd make life a lot easier.

Cutting content from a game can't be justified.
