I find all of this detective work to be pointless. Even if all of these "findings" are 100% true, so what? So Bungie is supposed to take the content that they claim will span a 10yr period, and release it all at once for $60? That makes no sense from any perspective. How are devs supposed to continue making games that we can actually enjoy, if they release it for nothing $ wise? At least they did not make it F2P like so many other games that we get these days. I have found some games that I actually love recently, but they were F2P which ruined it for me. In Destiny, you can pay the $60, and then play it through without hitting a pay wall. You can start and fully level each Guardian w/o hitting a pay wall. You can find and obtain ALL weapons and armor in the game w/o hitting a pay wall. Plus, if you went ahead and bought the deluxe edition, then you get all of the above, and that much, or more through the expansions. So, if you spend anywhere between $60 and $100, you have a great game that you can play for a long time. Some gamers have rushed through the content (possibly by standing in front of a cave and shooting hive) (I tried the cave and as soon as I realized that I was gaining a whole level about every 15 minutes, I stopped), but I digress. My point? Try to actually enjoy what we have. Some people actually employ these types of methods (caves) as a way to fully level a character w/o playing the game. I am not hating on it. If that is what you enjoy, then go right ahead. I just do not understand that. I also find it hard to understand how anyone could have already run out of content in this game. Unless (A.) You have sat in front of the TV for 12-16 hours per day playing, or (B.) You stood in front of the cave and leveled all of your characters I see a lot of people saying they are going back to BF4. Is that supposed to be a problem? I mean if that is what you enjoy, then you definitely should go back to it. I hated that game, and will never waste my money again. However, I will also not be on their forums threatening to leave. I would just leave. I think that in the end, people will regret not giving this game time to flesh out. It is very ambitious, and sort of a first for consoles as far as I am concerned. The only other MMO/RPG type game that I have enjoyed on a console is Warframe, and guess what? It is "Free to play". Bet I have spent a couple of hundred here and there in that game. Plus they just keep releasing content for a price. Now, if that is what we were seeing with Destiny, then I definitely would understand the outrage. I think the majority will be more happy by the time we get this new patch. They seem to be on their game by actually being able to release a patch inside of a month. Seems to take much longer in some games, with the Sony/Microsoft process coming into play. This is kind of like the iPhone bendgate thing. Much ado about nothing In the end, these are JMO. I could be terribly wrong, and Bungie may be the Devil

  • I'm more than happy with the £35 I've invested in the game. I've gotten hundreds of hours of gameplay and now having 2 lvl 30s and 1 29, I can't wait for the new raid with the new dlc. All I can see is that the hype before release was huge and people bought into it, only to be disappointed. It's about time publishers stop overhyping games and let them speak for themselves.

  • As for content lasting, people still play halo 3.
