Oh wow a project changed over time and things were cut, how shocking... If the story changed over time there is a reason for it, Bungie didn't look at it and go wow this is too good, we need to dumb it down.
All you are going off of is hearsay from people that play tested it and some clips of the game, all of this stuff was removed for a reason. We may never know what that reason was, but it isn't there because Bungie wasn't happy with it.

Exactly- that's why people are asking. "We may never know what that reason was." Aren't you curious why they removed so much that you have paid for?

I am not entitled to the cut content, I am entitled to what was released on day 1, as that is what I paid for. If you were unsure about the game, you could have rented it or waited until reviews came out. Just like movies, there are tons of cut scenes and extra content you don't get to see at the theater, you didn't pay for that. You paid for the final cut of the movie. We paid for the final cut of Destiny and that is what we got. Going back and saying I paid for this content that they hinted at a year ago is ridiculous, they were showing off what they had at the time. Projects change over time.

It isn't ridiculous at all to be upset about the fact that what you bought did not have what was specifically advertised for it. I mean, companies get sued for making false claims in ads. There are specifics that were laid out for costomers in these ads, above, and in the promo playthroughs, also above. They are not in the game, and thus people are mad about that. Why is that wrong? Shouldn't customers alwa swant what they are promised?

Edited by Knuxr: 9/29/2014 4:20:45 PMI don't know if I would consider those videos a promise of content, more of a showing what they have and ideas for the game. Realistically, you cannot expect content a year out to be exact to what will be release, I believe. I was a bit more grounded in expectations apparently. But you're welcome to see it the way you want :). Edit: Also a lot of those videos were not ads for the game, they were VidDocs from Bungie or E3 content, which are NOT ads.
