I just can't resist this. You are either a good troll or just....silly.
Bungie has weekly articles about the game, with fan art, creations, and more.
Bungie supports lore and releases media outside of the game
This is the first Destiny game, but they've already had a few patches to address mistakes.
And its funny, because everyone I've talked to outside of the forums thinks MCC is just a hilarious money grab. Full price for doing almost no work, other than making a few cut scenes and porting an older game to a newer system.
But hey, I know I know. *I* am the fanboy here. There is no way you are a Halo/343 one.
inb4 you ignore everything I said because my forum join date isn't good enough. That seems to be the standard operating procedure when you people run up against anyone that offers a differing opinion that you can not fight back against.

Edited by cuzzybubba1: 9/30/2014 7:26:32 PMAre you nuts? The MCC is pure brilliance, taking some of the greatest games ever made and bringing them to next-gen completely remastered as 60fps is epic.
-
I agree it is a brilliant move, from multiple angles. Don't think that they are not also salivating at the money they will be making.

Somebody isn't a part of the Halo community, if you'd been with Halo at any of it's phases you'd know exactly what OP meant, you have, unfortunately, been tricked by Bungie
-
Expand with specifics, or show yourself to be another vague dissenter.
-
You make 5 points, 4 are just wrong, and the fourth shows up your lack of knowledge on the subject, you know what's included in the MCC?
-
Edited by lmdinosaur: 9/29/2014 11:10:01 PMPlease expand and tell me exactly how my points are wrong. Its easy to make claims. I'd like to see some dialogue and us discuss them. You know, like rational and mature people? The knee-jerk reaction by much of the community here to instantly name-call and shut down is very telling.
-
I just asked you a question, a simple one, i'd go through your post point-by-point if I could, but i'm on mobile and it's 00:15 here, you answer my question and I can address your post that way.
-
All previous Halo games, their add on content, all multiplayer modes, and beta access to Halo 5 multiplayer is the core that makes up Halo MCC is my understanding. Add in some updated cutscenes, better textures. Sure, there are other details, but that is the meat of it, from my understanding. Is this the only point we are gonna get hung up on? :P
-
Aah, I see that you are missing that CE MP has been completely gutted and modernised to run smoothly on XBL, a 1st ever. Halo 2 is practically a new game, they have kept the original engine, but, admittedly thanks to the original quality, brung all elements up to next-gen standard; i'm not sure if you've ever played H2, but the graphics for the time were absolutely astonishing, even today they look all right, even beautiful in places. H3 was made using very high-quality assets, as was H4, no images have been released, but O'Connor has said that because the X1 can take full advantage of the 1080p assets, it wasn't too much of a hassle updating them, so they could focus on making them run at absolute capacity. Graphics-wise we are talking Metro/Killzone grade stuff now, and of course Halo in 60fps is a huge deal, if these games were released today, and had never existed on old-gen, we'd be looking at a ridiculously good package. Most gamers have never experienced 1/2/3 in their glory, whilst there is not a great deal of content being made, the amount of content that will be new to the fanbase is huge, and that's what counts in practice
-
And that is all fine and dandy, I hope you enjoy it. Sincerely. I'll even accept I may have over-generalized what is coming with MCC in my original comments. That being said, how was I completely wrong in every single one of my other points? :)
-
Well for one Bungie does t release media outside if Destiny
-
Edited by lmdinosaur: 9/30/2014 1:10:35 AMYour grim cards, which explain much lore, can only be acessed through a browser or app. That is media. That is outside of the game of Destiny. Genuinely curious follow up question. How much Halo 1 media was released outside of the game, for its first 3 weeks of launch?
-
1. Grimoire cards are still a part of the game, and they can be accessed from within Destiny, so i'm not sure what you are rattling on about 2. How about 3 books, as well as all of the community events, fan art, and support for fan-made Halo projects, such as machinima?
-
I would love you to walk me through the steps of accessing the Grimoire cards INSIDE the game of Destiny. I would love this, since so many people (who hate Destiny)...this has been one of their specific points of bashing it. Machinima? I did a search for a bit. I was unable to find any Machinima which coincided with the first 3 weeks of Halo's launch. What were the books which were released less than a month after the game was released? Honestly curious :) Technically, a video gamers making their own media is slightly different....no?
-
Except Bungie have not made or supported any media post-launch, nothing, nor have they announced plans to expand the lore through books/TV/comic/etc... Bungie did with Halo, even iD did with RAGE for gods sake
-
You did not answer my question. Specifically, what did Bungie do during the first 3 weeks of Halo 1's launch? I don't want lists of things that happened years later. I want apples to apples comparisons. The only way to get this is to compare the opening 3 weeks of Halo 1 and the opening 3 weeks of Destiny. Earlier in this thread you proclaimed that you asked me a question. A simple one at that. I am now doing the same. I have asked you a very simple question. Please answer. If they did something, great. Lemme know.

Most of us are Halo fanboys though
-
So? Being a fan of a game shouldn't make you a moron, to the point where any game you don't like (that others do) that you try so hard to put down with a borderline-therapy-needed focus that you ignore any positives about the game in an attempt to make your game look better. Its not a war. There are no winners or losers. Play the game you like, and move on from the ones you don't. Like what you want, I don't care. But if you are gonna act like an idiot, while whining that others are acting like idiots...just seems silly.
-
I never said anything about other games I just pointed out that most of us are halo fanboys due to having joined the forum because of Halo
-
Any thats all fine and dandy. Its still silly that being a fan of a game should give you horrible blinders when viewing any other game, to the point where one is acting personally threatened by the mere existance of a game people are playing that is not "halo".
-
I wouldn't say that I'm at that extreme I do enjoy other games, but Halo is my heart and soul still it's the first real game I ever played so yeah
-
I hate MCC too! It's a rip off. If I want to play all the other halo games again, I would because I still have them. And everyone is saying that it's going to look amazing but in reality, it doesn't, it looks like high res clay! The guns and people look weird and aren't textured well and the game just looks weird too.
