so i've had a lot of friends in game complain about farming materials to upgrade weapons, and i have yet to see a definitive list of the highest concentration areas to get them. here are my suggestions on spots, please add your own favorites and, please, include the following info per spot: Location and basic guide to get there, # per hour NOT harvesting ground spawns and # per hour harvesting, # of enemies in area (estimates), possible public events in the area, average population density of other guardians, suggested etiquette if multiple people are farming the area for the same, and known chest spawns within reasonable distance. chest reset rate assuming no one is in the spot. Spin Metal: Old loot cave area. 85-115 spinmetal on average per hour not harvesting, 135 per hour harvesting, head across the rustyards, enter the building on the hill and make your way through to an open area, ~25 enemies including one gaurunteed heavy, Warsat every 30 minutes and occasionally a massive enemy war, 1-2 other guardians. follow a clockwise path and stay together so that no one has to wait to open a chest and/or get griefed for opening it early. Chest spots: 2 caves in middle of area, top of two lower buildings, cave on the cliff below the helicopters and in the rafters of same cave, in rafters of building leading to terrestrial complex, behind chain link fences, inside first room of hive ship, metal room near tilted concrete pillar. 1 minute reset on chest spot. Spirit Blooms: Outside the lair of winter, take a left when you spawn and head towards the first area with enemies. 90-125 per hour not harvesting 110-150 per hour harvesting. ~25 enemies including one reaver captain. fallen walker event spawning below reaver captain and extraction crew event spawning entirely within the small area plus occasionally random pikes, 2-6 guardians usually,. Follow a counter clockwise path starting at the first cave on your right by the mission when entering the area, stay together and kill all enemies as you pass, dance below wall or rock spawned chests. Chest spots: cave by mission on right when you enter area, cave up the road on right towards vex area, cave below the relay on the wall near the vandal/shank group, cave just past the relay going up the ramp to the lair, cave on wall just before bridge with dreg trolls, cave on catwalk directly above previous cave, behind storage container under the dreg troll bridge, next to entrance to cave leading to house of winter, cave on wall below reaver captain spawn, cave under the ramp up to lair (big white skull painted just above it), ledges above the dreg troll bridge on the rock wall, gap between rocks on wall on either side of the area, on angled rocks in middle of area, behind first rock pillar you pass entering the area, very very rarely in the middle of the hot springs. appears to be about 1.5 minutes for chest reset. thats all for me, lets see what you all have to suggest!
