This is unreal. Making us wait until the end of the year and next year, chopping out parts of the game that are clearly already done and just locked behind invisible walls and BS like that.
This is Capcom and the SFxT debacle all over again, just they've hidden it fairly well.
From the looks of everything on these maps, THIS would have been a full, complete game.
This is incredibly despicable Bungie. Especially since you are claiming that the DLC are so called "expansions", what a load of BS.

This is like getting pissed off they didn't release all the raids at once when there all built into the game...

Wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be as big and substantial as queen's wrath.

Edited by Flutternips: 9/29/2014 1:06:42 AMWelp, I think over half the fanbase just lost faith in Bungie if they haven't already.

bungie, the new child in training of EA

Bump for truth, will not tolerate this bullshit.

I think I just completed the King's Watch mission by entering the are via the glitch. So basically, you run, shoot fallen, and then at the final area there is a mini boss called Ultra Captain. Kill it, end of mission. Looks like I just wasted 40 bucks with the expansion pass...... Of course, I was patrolling the cosmodrome when I glitched into King's Watch and killed the captain. But I assume that is exactly what the mission will be in the future.

hi all. im bored with the game. byee

Edited by Coatedmonk: 9/29/2014 12:09:36 PMThis basic marketing as someone put it, is part of the new trend more than ever these days. They put out an unfinished version in which in their minds form a good bit of the story, or enough to call it a story to keep you hooked just enough to want to buy the DLC. Activision/Bungie take notes...just ask Bioware about Mass Effect 3 when EA influenced the direction of their first "official" end to a beautiful story... Now grant it, we've been promised 10 years worth of content. Bungie said there would be more Halo after the first one, yet the first had so much substance compared to the beginning of this saga. Something that Bungie passed Halo onto 343 studios, just to put all into this game. And so far, what we have today is what we have?? I believe in you in Bungie, so make this game worth the money we've spent. And for us that believe there's a complete story here, there'll be more money spent.

Your a -blam!-ing sheep dude. Activision calls the shots you retard it's called a contract/deal this game is on for a 10year contract you degenerate.
-
Doesn't mean the content/code is finished and fully tested yet.

Edited by ZombieHippo: 9/29/2014 11:09:18 AMTen years same solar system same areas. You not seeing a pattern or you just too much of a fanboy. ForeverS?

You do realize this game is intended to go on for 10 years, do you not?
-
Confirmed? Your an ass. The dude that made this video made it to show bungie that his game is messed up, yea you can see stuff not unlocked yet wow, he still can't play his game because he's locked out of everything which is the biggest load of bollox ever. Everyone giving out, at least your not locked out completely like he is

As hard as it's getting to defend, mostly because the evidence is right there, there are some points that are missing. The places people glitched to could be part of weekly content, the destinations on the map could have been previously built and the locations themselves might not be, no official word from either activision or bungie, the announced size of the dlc and amount of content shown don't fit with each other. Until these things are nipped, it's just accusations that have credible evidence. Best way to provoke a response is take the video to every game news site and see bungie defend themselves in a place they can't delete valid arguments.

Edited by Vreki: 9/29/2014 7:03:31 AMHow do you distinguish between content cut from the game, and content developed in parallel with the game? One is close to fraud, and the other is good planning. But which one is it? On-disc DLC doesn't really proved anything, since they could have put whatever they had ready at release onto the disc to reduce the download size. You know, all these GB that people also love to whine about? I am not disputing that Destiny lacks content, or that a lot of the overall design seems unfinished. Just remember this:
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
What if all the content that "is already there" is planned events and releases to keep us busy UNTIL the expansion. Optimism guys. C'mon.

Lets get this trending. Bungie needs to say something.

Who gives a crap if you enjoy the game wait for dlc or not go back to your gameboy and play mario stupid kid

Open your eyes people. The whole point of an expansion is to expand the game. This is normally done with new story new areas and a new lvl cap. However by new areas I don't mean unlock some doors on a map to content that is already there. By new story I don't mean stuff that is a lower lvl than the story you have already completed For people saying that he couldn't play the new areas so they are just place holders he couldn't access anything not even the tower and we all know that is there. If you glitched into sepiks prime you would have an empty area just like jovian complex. This isn't due to the content not being there but simply you haven't entered via the correct means to start the instance. Paying for an expansion pass just to open the mission select button and nothing else is disgusting. If you honestly believe we got a full game at release then I'm glad you're happy with it, however you couldn't be further from the truth. Just ask yourself this. If this truly is an expansion and not cut content then why is some of it lvl8 when the masses of people will be high 20s by the time it is released?

Bungie really needs to comment on this. They cant be quiet about it one way or another. If I were them and it is indeed already on the disc...I would come out and say so but try to save face by adding more content to it. Something like: "Yeah, that's all stuff that shipped with the game...but we always saw it as foundation work. There will be more to download per expansion on top of the code we were going to release to unlock those areas in the game." Even if it's not true and their original plan was just to have that stuff unlocked with a line of code and call it an expansion; it would be smart to offer more to save face with their consumers. If not I think it will ruin the bungie legacy. I'd hate to equate Bungie with Capcom (which I refuse to buy their games unless it's on clearance).

I guess it's nice to make enough money to not even flinch when I read an article like this. They want an extra 30 bucks to allow me to play more of the game? Pfff as if I care. I wipe my ass with 50 dollar bills.
-
You expected something else? Basic game market does this constantly. It is the basic thing now. I do not approve of it but I knew it was coming and I am not surprised.
-
Probly part of that day 1 update? Derp.

Wow. Is that all we get from TWO 20 DOLLAR EXPANSIONS!
