This Place Really Sucks

Funnily enough, I actually enjoy Destiny. Sure, it's a considerably castrated version of what I was promised, but with my 360 WIA and no other good shooters for my XBox One, plus my yearning to return to World of Warcraft, it's a pretty nifty way to kill time. But, as in any videogame I play, I want to explore and accomplish as much as I can, which means I need a fireteam. And where's the only place to find one? Here, in this Desticle-ridden shithole forum. Don't tell me "#Destiny," either; I'm not looking to blindly praise the game or shove some generic clan down your throats, and frankly, it'll just get buried under muh klanz threads anyway. That first bit was just the first part of this minirant, and it needed bitching about anyway I'm just lamenting about how Bungie... well, how they turned out. How they promised greatness and disappointed millions; how they've let their forums deteriorate; how they've cast aside so much of what made us love them; how they're so willing to disregard their older, faithful community for a newer, considerably inferior fanbase of kiddies, losers, and Sony fanboys. Six long years here, and I've seem some shit. Ugly shit. But this is easily the worst I've ever seen of both the company and the community. It's anarchic. It's like watching my favorite restaurant burn down while vegans piss and dance all over it, and I'm helpless to do anything about it. Should I leave? Should I stay and wait to see if things improve? I don't know anymore. Bungie used to be a tremendous part of my childhood, which was probably the case for several of you as well, but they're not what they used to be anymore. They're generic, they're lazy, and now that they've sold their souls to Antivision, any potential redemption is probably gonna come in $5-$15 bundles and, in all likelihood, disappoint further. TL;DR I'm sad.

 • I still say BNet is a fabulous forum for video games. There are still cool, intelligent, funny, thoughtful people. You can still laugh and learn here. The question is: Can BNet remain great now that it represents a mediocre video game by a now-widely-hated developer, as opposed to a landmark video game by a then-universally-loved developer?
