Patch 1.0.1.5

Congratulations on ruining your game in less than 5 minutes Bungie. Seriously? No ascendant material from breaking down the queens legendary items? They're absolute garbage, what's the point of doing the kill orders now? Increased spawn times to get rid of farming? What the hell do you expect us to do now? The same boring ass strike missions? Which now also have DECREASED engram drops? If you're going to do that increase the RNG. If we now have to spend 4 hours doing the same repetitive strikes to get ONE legendary. It better -blam!-ing be a legendary and not a Goddamn rare. I mean come on now, you've officially turned this into a mediocre multiplayer FPS. I have never in my life been more disappointed with a Bungie product. EDIT: So, I have been reading all of the replies on my post periodically throughout the day. Consequently I posted this just before jumping back into the raid with my team. Over the course of fighting the final boss, my phone exploded with the sound of the destiny app. Much to my satisfaction, I would say 90% of the replies agreed with the main points of my irritation. I was a farmer. I admit it. But all of the 10 exotics and numerous legendary items I have, were received through bounties and the random lucky legendary engram i got during a mission. I personally don't mind the cave being nerfed. However, with that being said, I do feel that some clarification is needed. Myself and much of my clan have had terrible luck with the cryptarch, as has much of the community. I currently have Crypto-Archaeology at level 33, and yet, it has no effect aside from the cryptarch packages from gaining a level. Even from those its difficult to get loot. Bungie has promised fixes in their news section about the complaints here in #Feedback, but we will just wait and see. I'm not certain I'll stop playing because 95% of my friends on PSN are on Destiny, and I enjoy teaming up with them, but like all of us, the repetitive nature of Destiny's core is slowly driving me stark raving mad. I'm not trying to bash the game in any way because the vision behind Destiny is absolutely beautiful and if properly fixed and added onto can still become the LEGEND of today's gaming industry. Activision is surely to blame for chopping the game into bits and pieces to be sold at later dates for profit, but that was to be expected coming from the COD franchise's sole funding and development company, just like EA is with many of their games. Understandable, we live in a monetarily driven age. However I don't agree that that can be used as an excuse for why this particular game hasn't lived up to the expectations and promises as of yet. I am very thankful for all of you who have supported and added your voice to my protest and concern, which is exactly what we have, genuine concern for this universes future, we are all fans of Bungie, some of us from Halo: CE, and others newly into our loving family. I would hate to see it die now when it has so much potential. I only hope that one day very soon we can look back at threads like this one and ones about how the loot cave is an exploit, or Crucible rewards are terribly given out, or even how much of a dink the cryptarch is and smile, with words like "I remember, when Destiny was young, and everyone had something to complain about and now we have this beautifully lush universe full of rich lore and content that has kept us coming back time and time again." I digress, I have gone on with this post edit long enough, and I have run out of things to say. SO, to my fellow guardians past, present and future. See you in the Galaxy!

I posted a topic (http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/70493741/0/0) a few moments ago in the Feedback section explaining what I think needs to be changed but it was immediately lost in the entrails of the forum. So I'll post it here, maybe more people will see it. • You need to give higher level players with Legendary armour more incentive to keep playing strikes in matchmaking by providing them with better rewards (i.e. a few guaranteed blue engrams upon killing the boss they can use to increase their Cryptarch rank) or by introducing a new play-list above level 24 that gives players meaningful rewards other than blue armour. When players reach level 26+ and have Legendary armour the Tiger Vanguard play-list (currently the highest one in matchmaking) is rendered pointless for higher level players because blue armour is no longer a reward. Sure we have non-matchmaking Nightfall strikes but the rewards for completing that are limited to one per-week. Either introduce a higher matchmaking play-list for strikes at 26+ with worthwhile rewards or have the Tiger Vanguard strikes give players better rewards. • Decrease the Light on the Queen's Legendary armour and upon dismantling the armour have it give players one Ascendant shard. The reasoning as to why you should lower the Light is because to acquire Legendary armour normally requires players to have 65 marks and that can take days to accumulate (over a week even if you do not have a high enough reputation) whereas the Queen's Legendary armour can be obtained relatively fast within hours. They are not comparable in terms of time and effort and therefore the stats should also not be comparable. Also still give higher level players incentive to play the Queen's Wrath by allowing the armour to be dismantled into one Ascendant shard. Not three, not zero, but one. • Remove the cool-down on sprinting or have a limited sprint. Sprint cool-down works in COD and other FPS games because the sprint is never infinite. However in Destiny the sprint is infinite making the cool-down feel jarring and out of place. • Either increase the likelihood of Legendary engrams turning into Legendaries or increase the rate at which engrams drop, or communicate effectively and honestly to the player the probable contents of engrams. Having Legendary engrams frequently turn into blues means calling them 'Legendary' is disingenuous, and falsely builds up hope for players, only to have them invariably shattered time and time again, leaving players feeling cheated. • Bosses have too much health. Decrease their HP by at least 25% or even 50%. And to balance the reduction in HP have the boss inflict more damage. Shorter fights, closer to death, more exciting. • Give players a guaranteed Legendary weapon or armour for beating the Glass of Vault, the RNG loot-system should not 'reward' anyone with only a shader and a ship (the two rewards I got) for taking down Antheon, both of which have no practical use. • I know this has been discussed to death and it doesn't fit Bungie's 'vision', but I'll say it again: there needs to be some sort of matchmaking or system whereby people can get together easily for the raid and other difficult events. Yesterday I was riding on my sparrow through Venus and I saw someone, by themselves, trying to open the door and get through the Vault of Glass raid by themselves. This should never happen in a videogame. I looked on this person's friends list, they had three friends. My heart sunk, I sent the person a friend request, and a few encouraging messages and advice, one message being to send random friend requests to people and hope eventually they invite you to a raid. Perhaps if Bungie communicated with players more effectively, and actually explained things to them, we wouldn't have people trying to do the Vault of Glass raid solo, wondering what the heck is going on and why they aren't progressing. • Decrease the effectiveness of shotguns and Fusion rifles in PVP or increase the effectiveness of primary weapons. When I empty half-a-clip into someone with my Legendary auto-rifle I expect them to die, I don't expect them to eat my bullets and one-shot me from silly ranges. If my opponent is sponging half-my-clip and is sliding in with a shotgun to one-shot me then there's something fundamentally wrong here. The unbalanced weaponry and the fact that it feels as though my primary is an underpowered rubber-firing-bullet gun is the reason I do not enjoy PVP, I like my gun to feel lethal. • Give players an option to skip cut-scenes (providing they aren't disguising loading screens of course). • Try to have more variety in bounties, mix it up a bit, get imaginative. How about bounties that get you to ride on your sparrow through check-points in a sort of time-trial or bounties that challenge players to get to high, difficult parts of the map. Not all bounties have to be about killing, you know.
