It determines your critical hits and how much damage you do per shot.

I don't think impact= dmg in the Crucible. Everyone's dmg is the same anyway until events like the Iron Banner

impact in crucible is your dmg indicator if u dare tell me its not ill prove u wrong really quickly

I would like a demonstration of impact please. Within the same weapon so that all other factors can be accounted for. This would require the weapon have the perk to increase impact. Because my experices say otherwise.

I'm just confused on this I'm sorry. There are shotguns with a higher rate of fire and range but with low impact that can still one shot the same as those with a much higher impact. I was using a Hawk Moon most of the time, and I really like it. I recently started using the Suros to get it leveled since my Hawk Moon was full. I did see that I could drop people with 3-4 body shot with the Hand Cannon as where you can't with the auto rifle. But honestly the impact in the beginning wasn't too much different between them. But yea man that would be awesome if you could. I'm always up for trying things out.

Yes, in the crucible. The only stat that doesn't matter in the crucible is attack.
