I'm in NYC and paying for TWC's super duper highest internet possible (supposedly up to 300Mbps). PSN checks download speeds usually around 20Mbps. I lag like balls in crucible.

Cable is notorious for having high upstream/downstream, but ping isn't too great. Check speedtest.net to see what your ping is. I'm in NYC too, and basically I use a 4G hotspot to get low pings. (but my upstream sucks. lol.)

Paying for the best isp package is not ever going to gurantee you a lag free game in online games on consoles. Only fools ever try to believe that foolish gambit. it is not the speed that matters to begin with for the game does not ever use your full bandwidth ever. It only ever uses a portion of it and very small portion. So payhing for a high priced isp does nothing since all the extra bandwidth means absolutely nothing to the game and how it plays.
