From what I've heard Destiny cant be played offline. So that basically means for anyone who doesn't have gold, or if it isn't feasible to play online, or those unlucky enough to have their internet go down Destiny becomes worthless.
Can anyone explain this one to me? It's been 10+ years I can still play all my games, even though many no longer have their servers running I've the campaign to fall back on and I can play split screen or use the lan option. But if Destiny is all online that:
1) removes any reason offline people who would normally buy it to buy it basically cutting sales
2) once the servers are down what then? It becomes a paperweight
I don't get it. Wheres the business sense in reducing sales like that? Do they really think they'd gain more by cutting out the offline demographic? At some point the servers have to shut down to make room for the newer Destinies and those who bought it wind up with a useless disk. I honestly don't want that to happen.

If you understood the type of game they're creating you'd understand why it needs to be online at all times.
