Cave is life. Cave is love. Cave is Legend. Cave is Destiny.

> mob level based drops So basically you want nothing to drop in open zones because almost all the mobs are not pass 20 lol. That would ruin pve as a whole and no one will even touch the open zones other then getting mats. You armchair devs are really amusing they set the loop system like this so people CAN GO BACK to these worlds if that was the case everyone would most likely be in Mars alone. Christ alot of you really do nothing but pour those river of tears over the smallest shit its really sad the only thing I can agree with on that list is rewards for strikes and pvp need tweeks that's about it if people wanna farm they can farm you really have no right let alone worry how someone is playing a game they spent money on I am pretty sure you didn't help them pay for it.
-
Omg another cod scrub crying about farming .......maybe if you did farm you'd get that you really don't get legendary engrams , most people are doing this for upgrade items , which obviously your lacking cause you don't farm , when we are level 30 owning you in iron banner I'll be laughing so hard, since you don't understand the mmo portion of the game why don't you go back to cod you scrub
-
Let people play how they want to play, shouldn't bother you as it dont involve you. As for iron banner, it was never intended to be fair or balanced. There is always someone who puts more time in then you amd have that better gear, so put the time in to get said gear or avoid it because its gona be a nightmare if tou dont got the gear to survive.

I won't lie: I farm the cave when I am able to. I do my bounties and daily first, but I have tended to wind up ending my night off there a few times. Farming will be a part of every MMO, and this one in particular will continue to exist as long as the mechanics of the game remain the same. That being said, you make some great points that I agree with! I'm want to be rewarded for farming, but I shouldn't be rewarded for farming in a low level zone where it is just so simple. The most fun I have in this game are in Strikes and Heroic missions. I don't even anticipate gear or engram drops anymore; just farming the rep and marks at this point. The cave has NOT been good to me. Yet, as long as it is there, I will go on occasion and farm for engram drops and materials from dismantling all of the greens. I won't be upset if it ever gets patched, because I don't want to really do it anyway. I only speak for myself, though, as there are those who do genuinely enjoy it. Bottom line, TLDR; A player farming the cave hurts nobody and has no effect on anybody else. I can see the concern over Iron Banner, but time will tell for that. Though, I do agree with some of your points and hope some sort of way can be implemented that farming low level mobs is not rewarded, but instead farming more difficult mobs becomes enticing.

Edited by Primus Zero: 9/24/2014 12:56:18 AMOf all the self important selfish things to say. Look bub Some people like to go caving others dont. Big deal. This is an MMO type game even if it dosent whant to admit it. Whant to know what most people do in MMO games. Farm mobs for loot. some people happen to enjoy doing that. Who are you to stand in judgment of someone you have never met or talked to and generalise them beased on how they like to play the game. Guess what You can do the same thing about all you competetive crucible types. Lets see You love the crucible so you must be a bladedancer who likes to hide invisible behind doorways with your oh so special shotgun/fusion rifle waiting for someone to walk in and get blasted. I imagine the only time you venture from your doorway would be to use that oh so unbeatable super of yours to slauter all those unsuspecting simpletons that whant to try and use those silly little scout rifles on you. oh how godlike you must be. See goes both ways. Now I dont expect im right about you because im generalising but I would laugh If I was.

This really isn't a problem. Not only do you not get great gear from this (raid gear is what matters late game) but you get no EXP either, so no extra motes of light to buy exotic engrams. This isn't an exploit, move on and calm down.

Cave is love
-
I like the cave except when I'm the only one doing it >.<
-
I take it that RNGesus finally smiled on you?
-
Are people still farming it? Everytime I go there it's a ghost town, or maybe one person there doing it. But in all these videos I see 5+ people farming it
-
Long live the cult of the sacred cave lol
-
Go my brother. Pay your tribute of bulltes, blood and rockets and pray the cave god smiles upon you with a nice shiny purple engram
-
Cave day Friday 26th let's make this happen.
-
the chance of getting a legendary from a purple depends on ur cryptarc rank the higher the rank the chances are

To those who think the cave is exploiting, how about say, going to Venus, picking up some Kill or pick up something missions along with a few of the same bounty's and running back and forth from group to group of vex or fallen getting head shots, overcharge kills, and picking up chests and engrams along the way. Farming is farming, its in the game and a part of it. No different than standing at the cave. For a person playing solo when no friends are on line this is a great way to get gear and level up. Have tried the strikes where you are put in a fire team with random players and end up with people getting disconnected, leaving for no reason, or doing a farming run when you want to finish the mission. If you and a mate want to do your own thing don't join a fire team play it in Patrol, don't ruin it for the one person who joins to do a mission. I have much more problem with a person who joins a team and then runs ahead and does his own thing rather than working as a team player and helping all involved. What part of Team don't you understand?

Well at least the Warsat data is being rescued.

Edited by MichaelGHM: 9/24/2014 7:15:27 AMcave is pretty fine at the beginning to get all slots in blue and some in purple, but as you get more purple gear the chance of getting the rest in purple that you need becomes low as ... I got from the cave a lot blue stuff and some purple weapons purple shoes and gloves i got as reward from doing pvp but no helmet and no torso, so the best way for getting this was doing pvp and more pvp. in 2 weeks i earned 200 pvp points and enough reputation. think about it. in 12 minutes (max) you can get legendarys, exotics, engrams, strange coins, 2/3 pvp points, reputation, experience points, notes of light, shaders and crapstuff. and you'll FOR SURE get that stuff that is missing in your collections. there is no random in spending pvp points and buying the stuff you need. From finding strange coins i got my exotic gloves and as reward for a lvl 24 strike i got the last word handcannon. so to me the cave is only a good start and part of the mixture

Oh wrong link... I thought u were talking about a different type of cave!
-
The cave is cheating...which I wholeheartedly endorse given how stupid the engram system is. That said I think it's a giant waste of time..and boring. I pulled two legendaries out of the cave after an hour and a half. They both decoded as rares. Never farmed again.
-
I found a new cave on earth, opposite direction. A captain and 7 others emerge from it. Need 2 ppl to take em out before they exit the cave. But overall slightly better than the other cave. More will be found. Hit me up if u want to know where it is.

I'm not really happy with it today. About 2-3 hours and nothin!

quit making post before bungie nerf it
