O honestly have had a bunch drop for me but o lyrics from rare engrams. Save your rare engrams until you have about 8-10 then turn them in. For some reason or another it seems this has given me a better chance of not only receiving motes and ascendant shards but legendary gear as well. :) hope this helps you buddy. Hood luck to you.

Lol it does sound funny when you put it that way. XD but really I have had more good gear payout when I turn in engrams in large numbers at the same time as opposed to smaller amounts. :)
