This method is crap... Too much can go wrong...
First, waste time fighting to entrance... Not that bad , but..,
You need to strike a balance between killing a lot of mobs for chance at loot with not killing too many mobs or approaching the door, this triggering the next scene, so it jumps you ahead if you die... The good thing at least, you can go to Orbit and it puts you back at temple entrance, but you have to deal with cutscenes...
Lastly, you collect loot when you are done and want to move on to something else... If you lose connection before you are ready to leave, you'll lose a lot of loot. With the cave method, you're picking up loot when out of ammo, so if you lose connection at some point, you won't lose everything.
Your method is OK but cave still better IMO.

If you are entering the cave to get ammo you are doing it wrong, just wait the 30 sec and let your ammo come back people going in the cave slows down the farm a lot and it seems that the more engrams in the cave the more often more engrams fall

Not really you can go in door, the only thing you can't do is kill knight turn up to 20 - 24 run up titan super clean up stragglers let knight kill you repeat usually knight doesn't spawn with mobs at door if he does kill adds with gun I usually alternate super and grenade and average about 2-2.5 runs a min

If you ever leave an area for whatever reason without picking up blue/legendary items, they are sent to you via Postmaster.

I left a blue on purpose to test that and i never got it in the mail.
