I hate to be a jerk about this, but... There are actually very few people able to form "independent opinions" in this world. Case in point, fanboyism in general. Bandwagon hopping as well. The people who do form an independent opinion that differs from "the norm" are immediately set upon by the masses (like what you're doing with your post! He says it's terrible for X, Y, and Z, and here you are calling him stupid for having his own opinion on it!). If you don't like Angry Joe, that's quite fine. Not every reviewer is for everyone. I think he's funny and tends to be more "spot on" than most reviewers I read or watch. Or, at least, he's more spot on in terms of mentioning the stuff that actually personally irritates me. But, if he's not your cup of tea, then I urge you to find a reviewer you do like and trust. There are a lot out there, some paid by video game companies to provide good reviews, some not. You need to find a reviewer who holds the same opinions you do most of the time and use them. Reviews are important to keeping bad games out of the hands of consumers. We vote with our wallets. Whether you enjoy humor in a review or straight up facts, you should at least read/watch them to avoid blowing money on games you won't enjoy.

Hey and it goes both ways anyone that uses the term fanboy is taking it to the other extreme get informed.

Do you know what a fanboy is? A "fan" is short for "fanatic". As in, someone who is so obsessed with something that it defies all logic, reason, and mental stability. A "fanboy" is someone who is not only a fanatic (which is a bad thing, these are mentally and emotionally unstable people), but also children who lack the maturity necessary to deal with a situation in a calm and civilized manner. As in, they tend to attack anyone who says anything bad about whatever they're a fanatic about. Perhaps it is you who should get informed? :D

You seem to misunderstand me, I like the game but being a fanboy does not go hand in hand with biased, those that use the word fanboy on the net lose all credibility as soon as they say that, regardless of definition or "valid points" made. A proper term to define these fanboys; those that like the game, All of the low lives that use the term negatively look, and sound un-informed and I can assume that their immediate come back to a well thought out defense against the constant wailing of these "opposite of fan boys" they use the term extensively as a way of invalidating everything that was said by the op/poster. If you want to sound like a intellectual that actually makes profound points that are major issues with the game you don't resort to mud-slinging. Now please tell me why, how and in what matter me liking the game in anyway is a sign that my opinion should not be valued just as much as your own. The ones that truly need to feel validated stand behind these reviewers as cold hard facts, and accept the review issues are truly what is wrong with this game. The real sheep are those that blindly accept these reviews as validation for what is wrong with this game, and how it's not worth 60 dollars. The ones that are still playing despite its flaws are the ones that can accept the game and keep on playing. Who knows maybe if half of the xbox people I knew didn't read these reviews they might actually enjoy it instead of complaining the whole time.

Except when it isn't. However the same goes for the term "elitist". It can apply, but it is misused. Just like a person isn't a sheep for liking a game that people don't like. To each his own. I formed my own opinion. I like this game. It isn't awesome, but I like it. I love it with friends. This game is unplayable without friends IMO. Same is true for me in Borderlands.

That's true. Reviews in general are high octane cerebral pleasers for tightwads.

I think most people are morons....cos this is not FPS....its and RPG....besides...wtf no good end of the game...i think that addons that will be released will expand the story even further....for me its almost like WoW (im not a WoW fan....but still) eh...and why does people say multiplayer instead of PVP or Crucible...THE WHOLE GAME IS MULTIPLAYER....for -blam!- sake....
