80% chance of green, 18.50% chance of blue, 1% chance of purple, 0.50% chance of exotic.
OR 89% chance of blue, 9% chance of purple, 2% chance of exotic would be excellent, since every 10 or so strikes you SHOULD see atleast one engram/item of purple or better quality.
Just give bosses a drop table specific loot drops for each boss to encourage different strikes with role chances like this and people will enjoy strikes more.
Thanks.

You should be able to add modifiers to Strike bosses before the Strike starts, which could then raise or lower the loot drop races of the Strike bosses - probably too complicated. Just bosses dropping loot like every other enemy in the game can would be amazing for Destiny
-
I agree, at the very least a blue or something. Strikes are depressing enough as it is.
-
Revert the engram decoding before this happens.
-
Then nobody will do patrol and people will prob just spam strikes over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and.. you get it. I'll stick to the cave where I can at least watch netflix instead of beating my head against a wall lol....
-
Did some one say drop the bass???! On a serious note, I agree with a system or table being implemented into the game because the one it has currently kind sucks. I no longer get excited when I get a purple drop. Hopefully Bungie can increase the odds or something soon.
-
A drop table? Is that anything like a launch pad? I don't need to DJ fight sepiks prime if that's what you're saying.
-
Or at least something I got my first exotic gun today. First armor three days ago....played since day one....
-
Agreed. The only loot you get is a few green drops. Seriously? And after spending half an hour with your team, coordinating every move tactically taking down the boss (not using the exploit) and only get two box slots for loot, which may not be even filled, or give you the same rare chest piece, while doing the Tiger vanguard strike! WTF!!!
-
You have violated the code of conduct, prepare to face ninja justice
-
yes!!!! bosses drop loot. thats what they do! just because bungie dosent know how to build an mmo dosent mean that should be different in destiny. There is no reason to even kill bosses if you get no loot. Borderlands MMO would blow this out of the water.
-
Seriously, this. Every drop just being completely random is not fun. When you ask someone where they got that awesome ship, amazing gun, or sweet armor the answer will always be, "some random drop lol". That's not cool at all.
-
this idea is 100% better than the rng loot system we have... yesterday I got "hard light" the best exotic assault rifle in the game in a pvp rumble match that I came in 4th place for.... its just dumb. I didn't earn that rifle, while I am happy I have it has cheapened my gaming experience... I want to earn my loot, not get it through sheer luck that has absolutely no basis on my skill as a player.

Is just like the cryptarch to stop jackin me around with the decrypts.

I mean....i pulled the Last Word from beating Dust Palace in less than 9 minutes... Lol

This, or have the bosses leave behind a special loot chest. Imagine running for the chest. You open it, and it spews out 3 greens 2 blues, maybe a purple if you are lucky. And maybe a gold colored engram if you are VERY lucky. How sweet would that be?!? All the colors laying on the ground. Get rid of the post mission reward screen and just have this. I would play strikes ALL THE TIME.
-
Standard strikes should have the green/blue/purple breakdown and the vanguard strikes should have the blue/purple/exotic. People could "earn" their freaking gear while still feelign like they are making progress towards something. We'll probably never see such a rational, workable system, though. Because the RNG or the theoretical loot stream are much better for pissing everyone off. Buch of sadists over at Bungie. And we're masochists for putting up with it.

Edited by Nourface: 9/25/2014 8:12:27 PMThere is a drop table..... Its the rewards for beating the strike..... But yes specific loot would be nice so we know where to farm
-
Someone at Bungie, week before golden master: DROP TABLE strike_drop_tables;
-
Please do this Bungi it would work all i get are rare items
-
No. Strikes are way too easy and don't deserve legendary gear drops especially since there is no variation in ilvl from legendary gear that would be from strikes and the gear that would be from raids at least for now. Complete the nightfall for a guaranteed legendary/exotic or alot of upgrade mats. If you can't do the nightfall then grind marks and earn the gear instead of getting a hand out from an easy ass strike. Besides the game already has a big hand out system thanks to its terrible rng. Oh and btw the drop chance your asking for (2% for legendaries) means you will virtually never get a legendary from the strike unless you play the shit out of it. That 2% is near the equivalent of getting an exotic from a legendary enegram so if you have decoded any you'll know your chances of getting a legendary with your theoretical drop rate request.
-
Agreed 100%. Strikes should be "mini raids" to get you used to some of the things you might see in an actual raid. Even if you had a guaranteed blue at the end from the last boss that would be great. This seems to be 1 thing that Blizzard has figured out very well and why their games are successful. I'm definitely not ready to give up on Bungie, but it's really exciting in other MMO's when you go through a dungeon/instance and come out with 1-2 new pieces of gear and wear them proudly as you level.
-
Strike missions are only marks, lets be honest.
-
I would love some sort of drop. I play strikes almost exclusively.

Edited by dynamyteus: 9/24/2014 3:36:25 AMPlays a game that is skill based around killing enemies and is randomly awarded items so people do not farm just certain parts of the game... Calls his or her experience cheap... When they could easily join a Queens wrath or the raid and not feel cheap... It's destiny and bungies fault that players use cheap tatics and or complain about anything and Believes that their opinion is the most important because they are all MLG and since age two are the best thing on two feet... When it's not the games that are ruining gaming forums or our games... It's the people who can't get over themselves... And would rather cry about anything to get attention and not help improve games or our Community as a whole..

This %100 + give a small chance for specific items from specific maps/bosses crucible map specific drops as well What happened to "hey where did you get that, Im going to try that" We were given the impression you could hunt down specific gear but its totaly randome
