Deej,
I'm guessing you guys get questions for the mail sack through here. I was hoping you'd answer one question of mine. Not for me, you understand, but for all the naysayers on the forums. I love Destiny. I've pumped so many hours into it that it's not funny. Here's my question:
Are you planning on adding more to the story as the game grows?
A simple yes would suffice.

If you view the Grimoire cards & check the planets (I think), it offers: Jupiter, Mercury & others. Bungie had to do last minute editing & clipped most of the planets out. Even in the beginning of the game the Speaker talks about a couple of planets but are not accessible for the guardians yet. There is more to Destiny than Bungie is letting on, possibly to rake in more money. Yay. -.-

The DLC is the real storyline. Activision -blam!-ed up.
-
Way to believe trolls.
-
I like the game but the ' trolls ' are right ... There is no story yet .... It's a little strange that we gotta wait for future dlc to get a substantial storyline out of this game don't you think
-
I don't listen to trolls. Especially MLG queers.
-
You're regurgitating what the Reddit guy said
-
What's reddit? Lol
-
Yes they will be adding more story, for another payment of $30.
-
Pretty sure they'll add more than that... That's also better than a lot of MMOs... (Destiny is a MMOFPS, so this applies.
-
It's a tmo ( tiny multiplayer online ) :)

They keep hinting at it, saying things like we have only scratched the surface, but they need to come right out and say it. I understand that they are trying to make the entrance of the new content more dramatic or something, but they should just be up front with those plans. Will the new story content only be available through the paid for DLC or will it be included with the original price of the game? being upfront will help clear a lot of the negativity off the forums. People who disagree with the plan can finally get off and get on with their lives, and those who agree, can use the forum as it was meant to be used, a place for the community to gather and talk about the game.
-
This is true from my understanding as well
-
The forums are meant for good and bad parts of the game. Not just the good. Always agreeing with every decision made Bungie does, does not make a great game. Back up the posts you like, disagree with the ones you don't. That's how "we as a community build a great game together."
-
I agree, but it is hard for the community to progress when there is so much baseless negativity. Basically, people love to hate things, especially when they think they can get something out of it. I thinks alot of people are caught up in the trend of negativity and others are hoping that by making enough noise they will some how get the first 2 DLC for free, like they have demanded in several threads. The trend increases through these posts and the environment becomes toxic due to desire for conformity in a group. Thats why I am tired of the negativity, because genuine concerns become background noise or become impossible to find through the toxic cesspool of negativity. I am not against negative feedback in general, only the ones that lack any real value for the improvement of the game and community as a whole.
-
It's not baseless negativity. There is plenty of reason for the criticism and negativity. While there are good things about the game, there are a surprising number of let downs for which we get to express our frustration.

Ah in that case I hear ya. I try and float around and add humor or sanity to the mix. Besides I already got the dlcs here's to hopeing knocks it out of the park.
-
Me too, and I think they will.
-
Eloquently put .
-
I figured it'd be best to try to get it from the source. It apparently carries little weight when I say it.
-
My money is on yes. The story feels like a skeletal framework. Its so open that I would think to allow them to add content whenever and however they plan too.
-
Feels like a beginning to me.
-
More like a prologue really.
-
Prologue, beginning you catch my drift.
-
I've heard a few rumors that this is supposed to span out over near 10 years.. So I think if that's true that there will be plenty of story to go along with the game.
