How To End Loot Cave Farming. Forever. An End Once And For All.

Now, we have this divided community, a terible thing as a house divided against itself cannot stand. But there's a solution that doesn't involve ruining anyone's fun, a win-win situation, a way to m ake the rain go away, a means of ascension, a means of elevating fun, a superior mode of enjoying the game, a wonderful new experience, a glorious and ingenious way to solve all farming forever. Some people don't like farmers because they feel the farmers are getting things too easily. Farmers feel as though the loot drop rate and the RNGesus is terrible. The solution is simple: buff the drop rate so every other enemy drops an uncommon engram, every 11.6 drops a rare, and every 103.34 drops a legendary. By buffing drop rates we remove the need for farming, allowing everyone to feel as though they are making progress in this grindfest of a game. Agree?

    No matter what there will always be farming, that is just how it works for games. Sorry to say but it's just that way. This game has a very short sorry to start, and the lvl cap was very low. I can agree with the fact that most of the people sitting there are getting exp and rare and green drops when they didn't even kill anything, that sucks you are doing work for someone else. But i have been doing strikes for days now, and sorry to say that i get better drops when i farm. Even if you are there for says 10 mins you are going to get at least 3-6 drops that could be really good. My first time at the earth farming spot, i was there for 30 mins and i got 5 legendary item drops over 30 rares and who knows how many greens. You can only do so much in the game and getting legendary items isnt that easy. I have over 3 full days online or so and still only have 4 legendary items and 2 are for other classes. But there will be a farming meet today at 3 so come on out lol. Oh and the glimmer cap at 25,000 is too low. They need to just the caps on everything in the game. And pump out some more extra events, even some more 6 man stike teams. Im just saying.

  • I Think, a raise of the Vanguard Mark Cap would prevent me to use farming for Gear. Because i could buy the Gear by playing Strike, Public Events etc, 100 Coins a Week is to less. (sorry for my bad english)

    • No. They should make the good stuff drop from the big guys. So everybody would do raids en strikes. Make the lvl 20 drop lvl 20. And the lvl 7 drop lvl 7

      • I have a different solution that nearly every other mmo has had implemented since the start - you only get loot if you or someone on your fireteam tags the monster. That way, it removes the component of afking in the cave for free drops. I have no problem with people sitting in one place killing the same mobs over and over again. It's the same as my loop on Venus while I farm spirit bloom, just less moving. My issue is with those who can sit in one place, doing nothing but making sure the game doesn't boot them for inactivity. A comparison for those of you who play WoW, afking in the cave for free loot is analogous to botting or afking through a battleground. You get the rewards for someone else's labor. In that instance, you're no longer playing the game, you're exploiting the loot mechanics.

        • Farming is not a problem. But level scaling needs to be a thing. Low level enemies, no matter their status, shouldn't drop more than a blue or green.

          • Or just add sime real drops for killing bosses in strikes. Not some 200 glimmer house banner bs. That will make people to actually play the strikes. But when you get shit at the end...whats the point of losing your time doing the strikes

          • You will NEVER stop farming in games based on getting gear to level up. If they patch the "cave of wonders", people will just find another one, or another similar way.

          • Everyone can do it so there is no preferential treatment for certain players. This is a great opportunity that makes up for the IMO faulty crucible rewards. With that being said in every video game it's "to each his own".. So many annoying threads killing the forum experience for everyone. For the record I feel as though all the weapons / gear we have now will be obsolete once the expansions start rolling in, so it's not really a big deal haha.

          • Or they could be smart and increase he drop rate for higher level and more difficult opponents and make lower level, weaker enemies not even capable of dropping anything bigger than a blue engram because there really is no reason to have a legendary engram at level 5

            • Agree BIG time... Don't get me wrong I have a lot of reapect for the game, but i just know that as soon as I after way to much work I get an exotic (or even a legendary) or another good game (DA3) comes, i'll proberbly never return... This is just too much work in and unrewarding setting...

            • I feel like that's too easy, but it is a good idea to maybe make the drop rate a little higher. Even using the cave I've still only ever found one legendary and it turned into a rare item

            • The worst suggestion ever. Sure buff the drop rate. You won't stop farming at the loot age as people will do it even more as there is even more chance for loot and upgrade meterial's. This games main mechanic is of an mmo's and farming is the main part of it. Everyone farms in this game like it or not. Bounties even encourage it. 9000xp without dying that's farming for xp. Collect tears of Mars that's also farming. The reason the community is devided is down to mmo players joining a community of fps players.

              • Or we can just lvl lock engrams to certain lvl monsters. For example blue to 10 and up, purple and yellow to 20 and up

              • No. If Bungie would make legendary engrams drop even faster, that would ruin the game. You really think people would stop farming. Nope. They just would not have to farm as long as they have to now.

              • Or we could NERF the spawn rate/mechanics in that cave because that's what sets it apart from every other inconspicuous hole in the wall in this game.
