Lol. Even WoW has guaranteed loot from dungeons, raid, etc. I played it yesterday and out of the three bosses in SoO, I got 3+ rewards. I did raid finder and flexible, both times I got items from Blackfuse, I got the pet from the bugs, and I got an item from Gar. In destiny, I can play 4-5 PvP matches (roughly the same time it takes to do raidfinder and half of flexible) and get NOTHING. NOT A SINGLE -blam!-ING ITEM. And look on my match history for destiny. I'm on top of the leader boards and win most of my matches. Destiny = no rewards for being good, you're just lucky. WoW = You managed to kill the raid bosses and here is a reward and also a prize box for your efforts filled with gold, MoH, and god knows what you can get as an extra reward if you choose to use your WFS for bonus loot. In something like the crucible, where player skill is needed to be victorious, you'd think those individuals who show skill and talent would be rewarded, but no. You can just go afk in pvp and still get all the rewards someone would get when they put time and effort into it. I don't play 2s pvp to win and have a chance at getting honor points, if I win, they give them to me.

  • WoW killed MMOs... Get out of here with that elitist attitude, your reward for being good doesnt deserve any reward other then the satisfaction that you were the top of the leader board. Get the gold stars somewhere else, like maybe your kindergarten teacher. this game needs to stay as it is which is fair to all players, and chance is just that fair. You don't like the chances in the lottery then don't play the lottery.

  • You... Mean... It... Made... Them? WoW put MMO's on the map... Without WoW, we wouldn't have the MMOs we have today. This game probably wouldn't have been made.

  • Everquest put MMOs on the map and runescape before that WoW just standardized it, and overtime destroyed veteran plays want to play it, which does not make a good MMO. Vanilla WoW and BC were hard and everyone seems to have forgotten that, now they cater to whinny little kids and it created the spoiled brats of MMOs, Try camping the same spot for a week with guild mates in shifts for a chance to kill a dragon for loot that may or may not drop, that is what MMOs used to be. As it is the loot system is too easy... all you have to do is wait and eventually your gonna get the specific exotic you want from Xur. You dont even have to farm. Your statement is how I KNOW your a baby, either that or you were forged on WoW in which case I truely feel pity for you.

  • LoL something that is popular doesnt=good... MCdonalds is popular and that is HORRIBLE food, it not even good for your body, it will literally kill you. I hate to tell you this but everquest is still around, in fact they are putting out a new game called Everquest Next. And your literally talking about killing SOE which literally made what Multiplayer what it is today and currently owns some of the most popular MMOs like DC universe or Planetside 2. WoW, started out as a good MMO yes, it was great in fact, but over the years all the old players left because it turned into a crappy game. SO MANY of the old players left in fact they are now recycling the the old players names. A good MMO creates a fanbase yes, but it also maintains that original fanbase. WoW, alienated that original fanbase and make it just interesting enough to inspire new players to fork out the money to play a crappy game, and they play it for awhile and leave, because it is a crappy game at its soul.

  • I agree. They should make less random drops and more WoW style boss drops for strikes. They already have the rep similar to WoW. I see this as the next step. It's not too late. Plenty of ops to patch and add on

  • While i dont want this to be seen as destiny has no faults, because it does and you did give some of them in your comment, some of the stuff you have said is improperly comparing them and taking things out of context. As one example in wow doing 1 wing of lfr CAN get you 1-3 peices of loot (you were in wing 4) before you use the bonus that you went out and worked for. you are not guaranteed a single piece of gear there are players in destiny who have gotten some kinda loot in consecutive matches. As for skill yet again in LFR's there are people who dont do a thing to help and they still get gear and ive gone in before and got nothing but gold even tho im on the top of the leaderboards for dps. as for the chance of getting points i dont see where your getting this when you win a match you are given 3 of the crucible marks and when you lose you get less just like how when i win a WSG i get x honor bonus and when i lose the x is smaller. The extra chances of loot the consolation prize of gold MoH and the random extras that you feel entitled to didn't exist for most of wows life and i dont get some extra sorry you didn't get loot prize when i fight heroic imm. infact i've done a 10 of 14 run last week and if it wasent for the bonus coins I wouldnt have gotten ANY loot. Finally all your arguments of the differences between wow and destiny come from things that it took blizzard years of the game being active to change to that form and when players used to complain before that they got no loot most players just saw them as whiny little kids and were told to deal with it and try agian next week.In short most of what your saying is unfair in one happens in the other, you just choose to ignore the parallels that are not that hard to see. I do believe they need to place a reward system that gives you a visibly better chance at getting better loot if you are consistently better. Finding a way to boost your chances on specific things would be nice. But past that loot wise im fine with how fast its going right now otherwise i would probably be done with the game and maxed out already which would be worse that i have nothing to do rather than im struggling a bit to find better gear

  • The raids have rewards for sure. Pvp is random because you arent just competing in multiplayer. There is no reason to reward the top players more necessarily when you are being measures against the people you are playing with. Meaning if you beat a raid it requires a set amount of skill while winning in pvp is determined by your competition. If you play against terrible people your win doesnt mean much while against skilled it means a lot. So rather than base your rewards of win they went straight random but i do notice in team games the winning team does seem to get more drops so you do in fact have higher chance.

  • Then they need to add in a sort of MMR or Ranking System so players with more skill level play with each other and have more reason to prove that they should be given items based on performance. I've been on winning teams where no one has received a single item, so I doubt your observations are valid. I just think that there needs to be a set in stone reward system for pvp. Not saying I should get legendaries every match, since that is a stupid idea. But when I carry my team only to see that the person who did a fraction of the work I put into it gets exotics, it makes me not want to put any effort in. It's simply rewarding people for doing things and not simply feeding kills or rubber banding your controller to afk. I think it's called... Common Sense. Not too many people seem to have that these days.

  • The rubberbanders will get banned most likely but if they remove the random itll hurt most average players. The place where you skill will matter more is the iron banner or the trials
