Then it's not a raid? I'm not sure what you mean by "good old fashioned raid" have you ever played an mmo before? That's what a raid is, mechanics, in fact I felt the vault was lacking in mechanics except for Atheon. Everything else just felt like a warm up.

Yeah being playing raids for long time. And that is a type of raid. My point was to create one we can all enjoy. Bungie even said that was for the "elite". If allot of people can't enjoy the content then what's the point.

Adding a mode like your talking about wouldn't be a bad thing though. It just wouldn't be a raid.

To have something to strive for. Dumb down the content and you dumb down the players. I'm pretty happy with destiny's design decisions so far personally. I hope they continue to drop extremely challenging "elite" content that stresses my abilities and communication with teamates for unique gear and cosmetic items. The level 26 raid is kind of the easier mode for your average player, many people are completing it in under two hours now. I'm guessing the hard 28 raid will have alot more mechanics than the 26. At least I hope so.

WOW two hours, dang that is fast. Just heard about the three teams not the two hour one though. Your right though it is nice to be pushed. I just worry about retaining players.

Yea I think a group on YouTube has a 48 minute run already. My PUG group completed it. So people don't need to have a clan/raid group or anything to do it. It's pretty accessible as long as people are willing to communicate. Try destinglfg.com or.net
