Just stop. What farmers do has no impact on your game. Who cares if it is an exploit or not, just play the game as you want.

My only gripe with boosting your gear is that the game is built around the premise that you work hard for your gear and to feel proud of your progress. When you see something a lot nicer than what you have it brings up the question "did it take him 20 minutes or 20 hours to get this?" I don't mind farming personally because it's unstoppable. But I with there was a way to stop these easy-farms.
