I'm right with you guys. I thought the story in this game was really cool, but sadly very lacking. I expected so much more and I'll be really upset if we have to pay for more storyline stuff

Yeah... Idk if this is just me, but I felt a huge lack in connection cause theres really no characters to connect with... Its just us as a guardian... and that random hunteress lool. Johnson needs an entry! But ya Halo had a lot more characters to bond with but I'm still open to see where they take us.

Exactly! The only characters in the game were your guardian, your ghost, that hunteress/stranger (or whatever you want to call her), the queen, and her brother. But like you said you really don't make much of a connection with any of them. Another issue I had with the story was that I feel like it didn't connect very well. I felt like I was just doing a bunch of completely random missions with hardly anything driving me forward.

Yes that too!! I tried to understand that point a bit cause its an MMO which is always run as a style of random small missions with rewards and little story progression but I think there could have been more story for sure! I tried to go in order as much as possible but it was still disconnect.

Yeah I mean I understand that aspect of it but it's still a little frustrating. I wish there were at least more cutscenes if nothing else

I was just reading a bit about the lack of story and remembered that joe staten left the company :( That explains a lot about the story...hes been the lead designer and has also cared so much for stories and making us the real story tellers in the end... If he left...either his story inputs were being over ruled or his leaving caused thr wrong decisions to be made about the story... Im pretty upset about all this... Joe staten and marty.... The core story and music developers are gone... I think about that and suddenly i dont have a lot of faith upcoming story development... :( I was watching the behind the scenes of halo 2s making and just..there was so much passion in the game development and everything, especially by joe. They always released vidocs too for halo! Those werent there for destiny so it just seems like something went wrong in the last year and they are hiding it.
