when did gamers become a bunch of babies?

When I was a kid I played through Super Mario 3 on original NES for months on end trying to complete the entire game without dying once, not because I got an achievement, not because I got a shiny new gun, not because I wanted to flex my E-peen on the internet (the internet didn't exist), but because I liked the game and liked the challenge even more. It seems like there is never a good game anymore in the eyes of the gaming community because it's always going to be either too hard or too easy, and in this case it's both. Destiny is as hard, and as rewarding as you want it to be. If you only want to beat the campaign once and call it quits, good for you; go away and don't post it on the forums because nobody cares. If you are pissed because you don't have all purples yet, go google how to get purples and put more effort into it. If "X" game is better than Destiny because of "A", "B", and "C"; that's great, go play that game and stop wasting your time complaining about a game millions of people are playing and enjoying.

  • i spent $60 which i can't get back on this game after being horribly misled. I'm not normally one to whine over my lack of satisfaction with a game, god knows I bought plenty of GBC/GBA games as a kid because of a flashy box. However, when a developer with such a history of generally delivering somewhere in the ball park of what is advertised decides to give me exactly the opposite, I am going to do something the internet allows me to do. That is, complain on forums with a horde of fellow gamers in hopes that something will get changed. Hate on us if you want, just because we aren't satisfied doesn't mean we are whiners. Does anyone remember the preview vid for this game shown at some event where a guy and a chick were playing this game together and ended up in a completely awesome public event? I want THAT public event. Remember the epic cutscene footage they showed as a a narrator eluded to some deep tale full of mystery and adventure where legends would be formed? I want THAT experience. I get nothing i was promise so yes, sir, i am going to "whine" .
