Better story than any other FPS??? How many have you played? Halo 1, 2, 3, and Reach all had better stories than Destiny's story (so far). I'm not even going to get stated on other devs/franchises (I lied, I will, Halo 4, Wolfenstein, Metro Redux, hell even CoD Ghosts had a memorable and engaging story). I'm not gonna lie, Destiny is game of the year hands down for sheer quality of the core gameplay alone, it's my favorite game this year, but this year has been a drought for good games too. That being said its main story was very lackluster and didn't have the amount of cinematics that a AAA game should, and it still is lacking some fundamental things like more chat, clan, and matchmaking options. Destiny has so much potential, I hope Bungie is able to deliver on it. It's true there are some seriously ridiculous complainers on here, but it's also true that even us who love Destiny have pointed out legitimate concerns and suggestions that could make Destiny better. It's Bungie's job to pick out the diamonds of ideas from this rough in the forum. I have faith they will deliver, but at the same time I'm frustrated by their lack of commutation back to the community. It felt like they were a lot quicker to answer concerns when Reach came out.

Ha COD Ghosts with Broken ass physics. Gun fights in Zero G? Lets see: ask any NASA/ physics dude and they will laugh in your face and call you an idiot.

No one said anything about the gameplay and physics now did they? I said it had a good story. The post had zero to do with gameplay, it was only talking about story.

Sorry that was just me being picky.

I think the story wasn't that great because Bungie started from scratch on this new project. Though (as I've heard) Halo 1 did have a great story so it could not be that they started from scratch. In the Halo series they had something to build up off of each time they made a new game so I believe they got so used to building off of something that they weren't completely in tune when righting a new story.

Actually I think they wrote an amazing story with Destiny, they just failed to properly deliver the story to us in the elegant and coherent fashion that we became used to with Halo.

I like the story as well I was just trying to explain why most people probably see things wrong with it

I meant not that great compared to Halo in the comment you replied to

Wow. More accurate than any review of this game I have previously heard. THIS GUY GETS IT!

Edited by TREX69: 9/20/2014 4:47:38 AMThose are damn good points. I like them all. I never really enjoyed Halo, so I can't comment there. I like this storyline though. I feel like it's only just begun, but I think I might be in the minority there.

Edited by Cyborg X JLA: 9/19/2014 8:52:03 PMDon't get me wrong. I love the storyline, and the lore of Destiny! They made a damn interesting Universe to play in. What I found lackluster was the quality of the delivery of that story to us. Lack of cinematics for every mission, overly repetitive mission tasks (there should have been more variety like the Sword of Crota), lack of NPC interaction. Would have been nice if NPC's in the tower actually had conversations with us like they do in Mass Effect (has no one at Bungie played Mass Effect?) instead of just being vending machine's for gear. And all the game's lore is the Grimoire cards, which requires you to leave the game in order to ever read them. Seriously, the Grimoire should have been delivered as books that are readable in a Guardian Library (like the Jedi Archives in Star Wars). So much missed potential here!

As long as there is a skip button for cinematic scene's......then count me in for everything you suggested. Really good post man. Thanks for putting it in here.
