Edited by Knightmare0: 9/25/2014 3:29:28 AMHere's a prime example of how that doesn't work I'm level 9 and when I got level 9 he sent me a care package of 3 legendaries 1 primary weapon to secondary the primary was a coin one of the secondaries was a blue the other was an exotic sniper rifle now I've had one other legendary before and it became a legendary helmet it was my first legendary decryption ever so it's just blind luck if you want another glaring example of how it's just a random number generator I got a legendary secondary last night and it appraised to the exact same exotic sniper rifle I already have and now sadly I can't trade it because there's no trade system so yeah random number generator gotta love it
How are you so sure?
When you reach a high enough level green engrams are auto decryped, wich means blues will do the same, and legendary, this game is all about leveling up, im not sure at what levels this happen but it also gives you a better chance at getting the gear you want, blues i get still give me green from time to time, i got 1 exotic from a legendary, ive only gotten 2 legendary gear from legendary engrams, only because my cryptarch level is not high enough

The higher cryptark level is a good call. I am almost level 8 and my blues are no longer decrypting to green it is all blues the same will happen with the blues as you get higher up.
-
And you are 9 right now for cryptarch?
-
No im lecel 8 about to be level 9
-
I'd say every ten lvls allows auto decryption
-
Thats bot true, my friend is level 17 in cryptarch and still has to decrypt blues
-
What is his success rate for legendaries?
-
He still gets blues, but he has seen more legendary then before

I feel that the higher the Cryptarch rank the higher the probability is to see rare and legendary engrams. Saying this it wont always be legendry or rare armor but the blue and purple give you a better chance at getting something other than greens or commons.
