Bungie Just got kicked.
Destiny was just rated a 7.8 by IGN whereas Skyrim was rated 9.5 . I remember a while back where Bungie promised a lot of things. You can travel anywhere. For example when they were doing live trailers they said "we could go over there, but were gonna go over here for now". I checked, you can't go "Over there". Also in the old intro trailer where the first public event is held, guardians come from over the opposite wall, which players can't even goto. I realize that back then Destiny was still in pre-alpha and subject to change, but i am also dissappointed that we were told these things and we can do some of them. Also we have materials like gun parts and other things like that. What do i do with those? Do i sell them? can i upgrade the rarity of an item? Im lost. Destiny is good, but i think Bungie tried to bite off a bit more than it could chew. I have been a fan since Halo. I love Bungie. Maybe i was just over hyped. Also, i have yet to see any raids.

7.8 is not a bad rating. if you saw a girl on the street that was a 7.8, would you take it down? point made. game critics just have brain washed all you sheep into thinking a game is unplayable if it's under an "8" according to their reviews. the materials you have from dismantling items are used to upgrade guns and armor. if you haven't put in enough time to figure that out, you haven't played enough to criticize the game.

1 ReplyFYI they said "that is all playable terrain and we hope to open it up to you in the future". I used quote marks but may have paraphrased a little. The point is, if you're going to slate someone for something they promised, then you should actually listen to what they said in the first place. Also, if you could go and see what's over there, or explore that mountain in the distance, the game would be never ending. This game is pretty huge and it will take a long time to explore it all.

5 RepliesI personally don't care what IGN says, there ratings are bogus sometimes anyway. I think if you're having fun why do ratings matter. Destiny is the first game that has felt next gen to me on the next gen consoles. It's Bungie they're games push some ideas that at usually overlooked by a lot of developers. They take risks which is something I am very grateful for. Oh another call of duty? What's different this time? A dog? A robo suit? Cool. This is the first game I've gotten since next gen consoles came out that has captured my attention again. So thank you Bungie for given me a reason to enjoy my Xbox one. Destiny is great and I love it.

I think everybody should give bungie time to make this game even better for pvp and pve persons. Like ctf in pvp and like more and bigger exploring options. They wil use our feedback and wil do something with the desires of the community.

I honestly dont look at reviews. I despise Skyrim with every fiber of my being. But I absolutely love Destiny. Play whats fun for you. Who cares what others think.

There is a raid. A. Raid. The Vault of Glass is out. But you need to be at least level 23 to be allowed to see it. More to come in the future.

I think you need to actually do what the IGN score does and stop comparing Destiny to other games. Hang on to those parts. It takes quite a pile to ensure you have enough to upgrade Legendary/Exotic weapons. That's what they're for. Upgrading the skill tree of a weapon to make the weapon better and armor more effective.

2 RepliesThere is only 1 raid right now. Vault of glass and you have to be 25-26 to do it. When the dlc comes out, they are adding more raids

2 RepliesI think this was an actually well done review by IGN and agree with a lot of what he had to say. My friends all asked me being the Destiny fanatic I am what I would rate it and I said 7.5-8 (I am doing the raid later today) an looks like I was right in the mark.

3 RepliesWell VoG is active. So there is a raid. And also you use the weapon parts to upgrade your weapon. Either you're trolling or have just popped the game in. So that also goes without saying I doubt you have actually tried to "go there".

7 RepliesBro, all i can say is keep putting hours into the game! Once you get to level 20 and up, the game really starts to make sense, and takes a huge step in the right direction! I agree with Bungie on their pre release comments about how the game really does not even start until you hit level cap! Im level 24 almost 25 and i still have alot of questions, but i also understand SOOOOO much more of the game then I did at level 19. Continue to grind away for hours and keep up on youtube videos and the game will be waaaay better and make alot more sense!
