I like this game too, that's why I want them to make it better. My biggest complaint is the lack of character connection, I feel like my guy is just a gun , I don't feel like he's unique or anything. And I know why? It's not customization, it's not the story, it's the lack of choices. You have to admit that there are a lack of meaningful choices in this game. You don't make any decisions impact the game in any way.

As far as choice, they could tie story missions to the different factions (New M, FWC, Dead O) and give us a storyline through there. Everyone is bend out of shape about what Destiny is not, but not of what Destiny actually is. This game has polish for days, it is a great base structure from of which to create stories. It has a story, but it will get expanded later on. The game doesn't not play like a 7.8, it plays like a 10, but it has content for maybe an 8 or 7. When you break the game like this, it shows how unfair the scoring was: (graphics 10, gameplay 10, performance 9, music/sound 10, content 6: total 7.5) smh

You are right the gameplay is amazing and I rate the game a a 8.5, it has a lot to appreciate. But it is a short lived 8.5 I believe because, I do and can compare it Skyrim, and yes one is an online multiplayer game and the Skyrim is not, but if Destiny had a little more of a rpg story it would have gotten a 9-10 from me.

That's what I give it an 8.5. What's so frustrating is there's enough talent at Bungie it should have been a 9.5 upon release and easily heading toward 10 with patches, weekly content, and DLC. Bungie made a RPG shooter, where they went wrong was not learning things from the successes in the genre that came before them, i.e. Mass Effect. Destiny could have been (maybe should have been) the FPS equivalent of Mass Effect. I have no doubt though if Bungie is paying attention to us over the next two years. Destiny 2 can be mind blowing.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I hope the expansion's give you the character development you are looking for. I find it to be more than adequate for a FPS, but I notice that the mmorpg crowd doesn't. This game really has about the same amount of development as boderlands.

You are right! And it is like border lands, but in border lands there is one of four people you can be, there is no character creation. so they fool us into thinking we will be unique or different somehow but it doesn't work that way we live the same life as everyone else. I just know that I like this game quite a bit, but it would be awesome to have class/ race specific quests, or like I said, have choices that impact your destiny? Like wouldn't it be awesome to have a "scholars" quest-line for warlocks, a "Spartan" quest-line (allusion to halo intended) for titans, and a Hunters quest for hunters! It would just give me a reason to play through the game again with another character.
-
True, they could have delivered us class specify story quests to give an incentive to play all three, other than getting the achievement/trophy.

The more I think about what you are saying, the more I think that this game should have been named "Guardians". Lol. Destiny does give more of a endless possibility feel to it though. Which they were probably going for.
-
Destiny 2: The Darkness Strikes Back, Destiny 3: Return of the Guardians. (Lol, that popped in my head and I couldn't resist.)

I would enjoy that for sure, but I wouldn't say I needed it. I would bet money that the expansion's will have more of this in them. I have been wrong before though
