Coming from personal experience on the matter of the raid. Me and a team of full 27's, fully geared and all on chat and highly skilled with amazing teamwork and problem solving... It has taken us 3 damn days to get to the final boss Atheon. We have got him down to 50% and are preparing tomorrow to go back in tomorrow night to finish. This raid will -blam!- you in the ass over and over without any lubricants. Match making is the stupidest idea you could ever conceive for such a daunting task. They didn't add match making because they know, NO MM group will even have a chance at it. I hope they add match making just so you scrubs can get pissed off at not being able to open the front door and then come back to forum crying the raid is too hard! Nerf please...

PS- seriously no joke, the first Match making session you get into will be everyone running around in circles with their fingers up their ass killing mobs and not capping the 3 control waypoints at the front entrance. You wont even be able to figure out the simplest part of the raid... Getting inside... Promise...

I can't imagine how difficult it may be. I actually did weekly challenge solo being 2 levels below requirement. At this point I was scared how easy this game is. However from what you're saying this finally may be a challenge in this dead easy game, but I can't play it because I haven't got 6 friend playing this game. If it so difficult it may be similar to extinction in CoD. If you don't know what you're doing and haven't got good team you won't pass first stage. However guess what people have this weird ability to learn. After few tries I was able to finish it with random team from MM.

You won't make it. As someone who had a, "let them try," pro-MM attitude, I can say: No. MM will not work in raids. Imagine how hard it could be, then multiply that by, likely, a lot.

Ok it may be true. I will be able to say more if I find 6 people and try. Also I don't understand your objection you have your team so it won't affect you. If people want to try why not, you may be surprised. It is also unfair for players who just don't want to look for more friends so they won't be able to upgrade their legendary and exotic gear.

The point is their will never be a group of random people who can even start it. No we wont be suprised because we have done it. You have to take the word of people that have put in the work and done it themselves. Bungie is aware of how difficult it is and thats why they didnt and wont implement it because its a waste of their time. They are a corporation and they make sure their work is time efficient, time is money and they definitely have many other things on their to do list then add match making on raids that no one will be able to even start. Go watch a video or two of people playing the raid. Please educate yourselfs before you complain you cant try it. Its not hard at all to post in the forums or a website for MM and say "hey lvl 27 warlock sunsinger here, looking for a VOG raid today or tonight, heres my gamertag message me or invite me to party, i have a mic." If you cant spend 30 mins doing that then dont even expect to make it in the door, it will take a actual group atleast 30 to get in alone.

Fair enough I don't want to argue. Like I said you are probably right. I have last question for you. What is the difference between finding 6 random people on some forum and do the same in game? If I understand correctly I don't need any team I need very good team just to make it through a door.

Like I said, I was on your side before but now that I've played it, I can safely say that it's a bad idea. I know that many will miss out on it and never play it as a result of no MM but it's better to have it out of reach than to dangle the idea of beating a raid in front and have it destroy you and have you never get close with MM.

I don't care how difficult the raid is, it should be our decision to go with matchmaking if we want!!! Those of you who have dedicated groups, good for you!!! The rest of us would like to play too! I absolutely hate the fact that these games are getting so "Blam"ing expensive, and that designers put restrictions in them. I think matchmaking is essential or at least some form of chat in game. This should be a no brainer!!! sorry this went in double.

I could not agree more with this I have not yet managed to get a team together to attempt it as I'm just reaching that level 26 mark but I have seen some game play of that shield and my god matchmaking would be a disaster and spoil the very intense team raid experiance bungie have created here. The places where matchmaking is in the game shows that...I mean come on people just run off in thier own direction on some glory mission to try and better the other players there with of all the strikes I have done the ones I have had the most fun on are the weekly ones that require 3 friends. I fully agree, words don't express how matchmaking would just be pointless and they almost should just put it in for a short while just to prove a point

Ok but I would rather have a chance to get 6 people that "might" know what they are doing and at least get a taste if the raid. That try with my 3 friends and be stuck a the door for literally ever
