I cannot stress enough how important it is to play the objective in Control... I dont understand the logical thinking behind some of the Guardians I've run into in the Crucible. Most of the time I am solo capping points in control while watching my teammates run off into the distance knowing damn well that the amount of time to capture greatly reduces with numbers in each point. If this is to hard for people to wrap their heads around then they should be playing Clash...

It isn't domination you get points for kills. And you get bonus points for how many zones you control at the time. Common mistake I see people making. You could theoretically win a game of controlling without ever touching a flag

The control points are nice, but there not worth going for if there heavily contested. Control is just a variant of deathmatch like all the modes are. Staying alive and getting kills is more important then the points. If you can snag a point uncontested though it's definitely worth it. I would say the heavy ammo is a much more important objective to fight for then the control points.

This is good to know. But the main goal is to keep those multipliers higher than the enemy team and the only way to do that is to capture and hold points.

I only focus on flags after we hit 1000 points cause while someone gets out flag I rush them slowing their advance and getting points for our team but yeah. I feel like having more than 2 at a flag is pointless as they could be getting kills and so on

The best control games I have ever had my team was all on the same page. We capped 2 points and held them with a strong force. If we got overrun on one point, we would take the 3rd point from them and continue to hold it. Repeat until win. Most of the time the enemy team will split their force in order to try to take both points and you will destroy them, and your dead will make it back to defend before they can mount another attack.

Beautiful. Domination game modes are my favorites and that strategy is what wins. Have the weaker members of the team hold points while stronger players harass the enemy team and keep them away.
