Ancient gamer here...all of 40 years old, death is nigh.
Imho, games got easy, especially of late, and the younger generation got used to this.
Old arcade cabinets, Atari, and NES games were hard, came with little to no instruction, and there was no internet to look up cheats and shortcuts.
I am really enjoying the difficulty of this game, it's reminded me how hard games used to be.
And I'm proud to say my son is enjoying it as well, welcomes the challenge.

I can appreciate this comment. Back in the Super Mario 64 Days. Ahh. Starfox on hard was my entire childhood. Back when gaming was for one purpose: fun and entertainment, along with the welcome challenge that is higher difficulties. What exactly people want out of it now I'm not sure. The game is challenging if you make it so, and being as there are so many higher level challenges now, (and more on the way I'm sure) this game is sure to provide me with exactly that. Challenging entertainment for endless hours!

Playing a game is a form of recreation just like hiking, poetry, football, fishing, whatever. It should make you happy. If you aren't do something else!!! I'm 32 this year, yay Decrapber, and I enjoy the game just fine for what it is, a past time. Heck, I play on the SNES and PSOne still. Xenogears, anyone?

Definitely man! I still enjoy whipping out the Super Nintendo occasionally

In my forties also, still remember the days when we had an finite number of lives on our characters and there were no checkpoints or saves.

Which part is difficult? Neither of us have done the Raid yet, but the campaign and strikes are both fairly easy. The weekly heroic strike was kind of easy this week, but it was hard last week. I haven't done a Nightfall strike yet, but I will in a level or two. I expect that and the Raid to be difficult. But by and large, the game isn't that hard.

On the harder difficulties, the game can be challenging. But if it's easy for you, then all the better.

I guess that's true. I've never really gone above the level I was at by more than 1 or 2. I was doing it all alone, which I think still ads something, but I didn't start doing 'Hard' until my level outpaced the base level for the quest.

Edited by OJ191: 9/18/2014 5:24:01 PMyou don't have to go above your level. Even at level, stuff on 26+ can getl hard.

im a younger guy and i agree with you. i was raised with mario and donkey kong spent many winters playing games with my family. i think that the down fall is when people started to care about being the best and not injoying what they had.
