Faction Shaders
So, I've been wearing white tiger skin, army green and bright orange for about 21 levels now, and have only just unlocked my first shader. Which is reflective blue and neon orange. GG.
Where are the Faction shaders may I ask? I've been ranking up my new monarchy for ages now (just passed level 2) and still no sign of it. Nada, zip, zero, zilch, NOTHING.
I can't buy them, I can't get awarded them, I'm sure as hell not lucky enough to find one...so howmasupposedodat?
I JUST WANT RED ARMOR. IS A COLOR PALLET TOO MUCH TO ASK?
In Halo, you had to rank up to get good armor. So when I finally got Recon, sniper shoulders, tactical pouches etc, It felt rewarding as hell, But even when I had the crappy default armour (Reach btw, not Halo 3, 'cause MK.6 is awesome) I COULD STILL CHANGE THE COLOR. That was at recruit level.
I'm level 24 now in destiny and my color choices are blue and orange, green white and orange, bright yellow, and fluorescent pink. So I'd like to formally request that Bungie bring back shaders for the factions (with level unlocks obviously, level 1, 2, 3 etc.)
AND have the outfitter renew her god damn stock once in a while.
I mean, YOU where the guys who stressed on multiple occasions how much customisation and ownership you guys wanted people to have over their characters, so why restrict us by taking away our color? Why can't I have a red and black ship? why can't I have the New Monarchy shader after doing like 80 missions for them? WHY CAN'T I CHANGE MY GHOST SHELL.
I just wanna be red man...let me be red...please...

There seems to be a red one from drops in vanguard playlist I got it multiple times on my Xbox account but have yet to see it on PlayStation. (Yeah my English sucks that's what ya get from public schools)

Your last sentence I've been saying ever since I started the game. I agree, there should be a New Monarchy shader. The shader I use now is "Achilles" easy to get from the crucible (I think because I have two). But it goes well with the New Monarchy cloaks If you wanna give that a try.

Yeah I hear that! I finally got a good set of armor which could change over time depending on once I get to level 3 with Crucible and Vanguard and how many marks I have but I would like to have a nice neutral or earth colored shader for my Hunter. I just bought a BA cloak from the Speaker that cost me 25 Motes of Light but it won't match my armor till I get a better shader. I really want Super Black or Broadsword. You can preview all or at least all known shaders at this website. Maybe you might find a sweet red one! http://db.destinytracker.com/character

Turn off your shader colors just go with normal armor color you'll have your factions color and monarchy is red because that's who I put my blade dancer hunter with. Hope this helps.

You can get shader at the store. There is bungie codes that give you two additional shaders. For free look up bungie.net/coderedeemer and type them in. Also if your pre order COD AW you get the gunsmith shader which is like grey and gold it's beautiful.

Agreed!! Why grind for shaders when you're just bound to get a drop for a color you DON'T want???

1 ReplyLol "I just wanna be red!" Yea man would be nice to change to your Faction colors. I like the fact of having to find or unlock shaders that's cool but it would be nice if they where more on offer for sale or unlock through factions or store.

I would just like not having prior shader colors in with my current one. For example, blue spots on black and gold armor. LOL Come on man!
