EDIT: Huge thanks to Azramikon for sharing. If you hit the PS button while on the "installing Destiny" screen you can download the compatability pack via PSN rather than the game.
OP:
This is my order of operations:
1. Insert Destiny disc
2. Start update
3. Finish update
4. 'Press X to start game'
5. 'Installing Desinty'
6. 'Boar' error
My account is registered in the US region. I bought the game at a Walmart in the US. I've tried the Help.Bungie thing and it's not working.
I really just want to play the game.

Ok. I had the same problem. I finally figured out what the real problem is: What is supposed tohappen is that the PS Store is supposed to launch to download a compatibility pack. Either the the PS Store was down, or overloaded, so it wasn't launching. Since that wasn't happening, the game can't find the game file it's looking for to verify. So it announces you have a missing or corrupted file, and errors as "Boar". Eventually the store finally launched for me to download the compatibility pack after something like an hour of trying. So best advice I can offer is keep trying, maybe during off-peak hours if the store is overloaded.
