In all honesty I should have read up on this more before buying, because I would not have bought a console game where you need a clan or a large group to play with. I'm pretty upset that I won't be getting my moneys worth of content, and I practically set my 35 dollars for the season pass on fire and then pissed on it for no good reason. Dedicated raiders are for PC MMO's not console games, Bungie will realize that keeping content limited to a small amount of people will only hurt them in the future. No chat feature, no in game clan system, nothing, but random invites hoping that someone accepts, when in all other games those are the people you want to avoid like the plague, GG Bungie.

Sadly, while bungie was very open about its intent to limit raids to friends only affairs, they didn't say the same about heroics/weekly/etc, and there was no way of knowing based on the beta. So research wouldn't have totally saved you.

Hmm, I'm still skeptical that allowing MM for raids would even change anything.. Its very likely that no one would succeed unless they all already knew the raid (from playing it in a premade). The content in Raids IS strong team play. That's the content. There's not really much story. And the gear rewards so far are on level with current legendaries available from vendors/strikes/crucible. They just have stats geared towards enemies in the vault of glass itself. It's very easy to join groups on bungie.net, full of players wanting to raid. Why not join a stable group to play with every week rather than joining 5 randoms and then being frustrated with them all night? I'm not against MM for raids, but I don't think it would work like many assume it would, unless they massively toned down the difficulty.. which would be sad..

I can get to 26, but for what? Address that and I wont care about missing out on raid content. Besides, I get home from work and whatever, I just wanna sit back and play, not get a group together coordinated etc. Gotta organize raid times, time zones, bleh bleh bleh, I really hadnt anticipated signing up for that.

  • Yeah, I left the MMO scene a long while back because of the dedication required. But I feel 6 people isn't really too bad. As far as leveling up, have you tried Nightfall Strikes yet? You will definitely want 28+ to attempt most of them I'm sure. I don't know if you're in to PvP, but The Iron Banner (in October) will allow player levels and gear ratings to have an effect. I'm hoping there's more non-raid content to come as well though, and I believe there will be plenty of it.

I have to second Uzuki there, unless there are future Raids that require much less time, and future non raid content coming there's little reason to keep leveling past 20. If there's nothing new to do then the game will get shelved until DLC
