Most aspects are well polished but pvp is well it needs to be retuned. There's no benefit to having teams of warlocks just nova bomb shotgun melee juggle you into oblivion I've played a decent amount of destiny's pvp and I also think myself a decent player, decent not amazing I have both high points and low points. But, when a single style of play begins to dominate a pvp scene you can tell it's players hopping on the bandwagon to boost their stats much like in League if a champion has clear advnatages over all others he gets picked/banned mroe often. My two biggest complaints are the warlocks and the shotguns but aside from that I think everythiing else is fine. The drop off damage for shotguns is not accurately reflected in how the weapon functions. That should be high damage up close, medium damage at a fair distance, and piss poor damage at really long range. Whereas shotguns currently occupy a rool of filling both medium and close ranged damage. There's a couple ways to correct this. 1) increase the damage drop off to better reflect how a shotgun sould function, and in turn buff close range damage to pretty much insta kill at close range. (This keeps the identity of the weapon intact and barely effects pve) 2) Nerf special ammo spawn currently there's too much availability of special weapons ammo in my opinion special weapons are already potentially weapons that can 1hko in special situations there's no need to give the ammo out like water. People should be running out of it mid crucible matches. (This keeps the identity of the weapon and has no effect on pve) Warlock issues: Voidwalker specific Nova bomb and homing grenades are far too dominant. They water out their sister class sunsingers in both effectiveness and availability. Seriously nova bomb is the biggest panic button I have ever seen in a competetive game even rocket launchers in traditional FPS games will blow you up as much a panic button as they are. 1) Treat nova bombs as rocket launchers, a warlock should have to consider when/where he can use his bomb of ultimate death, damage can stay as is. User should be killed in X range of nova bomb. (Would not effect the identity of the nova bomb and would balance pvp for usage sake. Does however effect PVE where a panic button without consequence should be present.) 2) Nova bomb's damage should be shifted. Low intial base damage with higher DoT ticks. (This would change the identity of nova bomb and alters it's ideological mechanic too. Instead of a insta death it instead offers potential zoning. This would also effect pve as well since the warlock class as a whole becomes more a support role to others. You can feel free to pick apart my arguments, but I think proposed changes would be fair and allow for a healthier gaming experience. Good balance and rebalancing can only add to the experience of a game never detract from it.

  • Warlock are currently the most balanced class. Titans ults take half the time to use and still 1 shot. Yes is doesnt have the range of nova bomb or the ability to DoT but it is still much quicker and 1 hit. Titans also have a 1 shot panic melee, tell me how its fair they can one shot any time their within 20 feet of you. A titan can be in the shot 2 shot range and 1 shot by rushing across, not to mention their ridiculous armor levels and tank ability. Hunters and titans melee are faster then Warlocks i believe and warlock need 2 melee hits to kill. Hunters have 2 ults that cna net them triple-five kills each use without being a one time thing. Warlocks have to use theirs sparingly by planning it out or they panic ult in the hope of killing before being killed. Any hunter can one shot pistol whip or blade dance a warlock before they ult, a titan can ult or shoulder rush before our ult goes off, anyone with a shotgun or fusion rifle can one shot us before the ult goes off. You really shouldn't be crying about voidwalkers at all. At the very least you should 1 for 1 warlocks even when they ult. Then we go to out second class, who's main job is to support its team. They literally take almost all our kill power away and give us very little in return for pvp. I admit for pve sunslinger isnt all that bad, but in pvp it's a huge gimp if you arent a FPS skilled player and can outmaneuver an opponent. Warlocks are legit the most balanced class there is and to ass recoil damage like with rocket launchers would yet again gimp our play style, why give one class recoil damage and not any others? The only bonus Voidwalkers have over others is that we have a much larger strike zone with our ults making it objectively a great spell. Outside of objective games it wont be as handy while the other classes wont see much of a change either way. Tired of see warlocks wreck you? Stop playing control and salvage and stick to clash/rumble.

  • I think this is an excellent point. Bungie should definitely take this in to consideration.

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. Says the hunter. Warlocks are probably the fairest of the three. Both of hunters Specials are long-lasting 4+ kills easy each time they use it. Warlocks have to be well planned and used sparingly. So calling Warlocks OP, when you're a Hunter with a multiple use 1shot handgun & multiple use bladedance BS is a fcking joke kid.

  • So those warlocks that just nova bombed me in the hallways that was well timed right? Right?! cause I'd say most ppl would call that panicking. Mind you it was only me in the hallway, just me and all I did was take them to half health. it's incredibly easy to interrupt a hunter super. Do it while he's channeling, do it with a shotgun, hell you can even just super him while he's running around a corner. Preventing a nova bomb? forget about it unless he's firing it from halfway across the map you're not dodging it.

  • I play warlock. The ult is NOT a panic attack; 1 outof ten times I use my ult in panic i will make a successful hit. the other 9 times I die. And even though I was able to pull off that ult i still end up getting killed. You got killed in a hallway? That warlock had enough time to plan that attack, 95% sure of it. Tried doing it while being fired at, died everytime. Not OP, OP would be Nova Bomb being fired the second you activate it. Not 5-7 seconds after (and every second counts when using ult).

  • turning around and pressing l1+r1 is planned? Really? I'm not sure what kinda split second planning you do but that's a reaction to being shot half to death

  • He most likely used the tracker, turned in time and fired. Use the tracker with good timing and you can pull off a narrow escape. And yes if you have a good enough reaction time, you can do "split second planning".

  • tracker? then how did i get behind him?... literally within knifing distance? you're trying to justify what is an instagib skillshot that takes little to no skill to land on cqc maps. Nor is there punishment for abusing it at close distances like a rocket launcher. It needs to be changed and how they change it will inevitabley be up to bungie in the long run. But, saying this is a planned skill seriously shows your ignorance at how little a window there is to actually avoid this skill. You literally have to have the worlds worst aim to miss an aoe skillshot that literally is the width of a control zone or hallway.
