Glad to see it's reaching 4,000! As I mentioned in the past the only part that would need to be fleshed out more is the part about "if we lose there will be more enemies in territories making it harder to patrol around alone", and the level of enemies not being higher.
My reason is that I think if the enemies are not higher levels it will be too easy to kill them thus making it easier to gain loot. That makes the punishment for losing the Planetary Event an actual reward and our reward for "winning" the event an actual punishment (less loot to grind for).
And if the enemies are too high you can't patrol there which might make patrol feel smaller or blocked off.
Minor details that Bungie could figure out or come up with a different way of giving reward and punishment for Event while still showing that we won or lost.
Other than that it's just about perfect. I hope Bungie does something at least like this.
Edit: How about a reward along these lines :
If we win the event we gain access to a sparrow obstacle course/racing area of a planet.
When we lose the event we don't gain access.
That makes it different from just more of the same (more enemies in patrol etc)
That gives us incentive to Win for more variety and fun!

I see what you mean about the more loot problem, I'm sure Bungie could make it so more enemies spawn but decrease the loot drop rate to ensure that it is balanced with other areas. :)
