I just got denied doing Vault of Glass for being Mute.
I understand that communication is important...but I'm pretty sure My being a mute is not a reason to deny me a chance at it...
*EDIT* I am mute as in born without the capability of speaking, folks.

1 ReplyI raided with a paraplegic for years, its asinine that someone would deny you raiding becuase you are mute... prove yourself in the raid once and you will have a spot from then on! Good luck man. I notice your in a smallish PS4 clan - your welcome to join mine my buddies would appreicate you.

Yeah I'm sure that there are good people out there that can help you do vault of glass. But make a new thread that your seeking people on whatever platform your playing on and give your class and rank. You can join us if you like, we have a good group and sometimes missing our 4,5 and 6th player sometimes due to life in general, you know kids, work etc. But ass long as you can commit genocide on a massive scale and follow orders you'll do fine

Cant you do like a text to speech or something? most phones these days can do that. I would suggest letting your raid group know that you are mute.download some freeware, plug your laptop into your controller, maybe preprogramming a few phrase shortcut keys. and you should be good to go. It will definatly be more challenging for you but considering the difficulties that you must face on a day to day basis, it should be doable. good luck.

If you're on ps3 then we the "Trolling Guardians," open our group for you to join. All you need to do is be able to follow orders. So, if you need a team for a raid feel free to join our clan/group. Furthermore, I don't believe that being mute will have an effect because the way the raid is set up there will be 3 groups of 2 at certain points so communication won't be a problem if one person can't talk. Or even half, as long as they know what they are doing.

Hey man if you have ps4 you are more than welcome to raid with my clan, we are almost 100 members strong. As long as you can hear us in chat you'll be fine. I'm sorry for other peoples ignorance, hell you can even do strikes and pvp with us.

Being mute only matters if they're also a dumbass, meaning you only need to be able to communicate if you or your team is filled with dumbasses. Mute> idiot any day.

Dude I would take a mute guy over an idiot any day. The raid would have to be a bit creative but seriously it's not like you need to recite Shakespeare to kill bosses. Just a few basic commands that can be assigned with robot sounds and beeps. You should get an r2d2 soundboard and teach your mates which means what out of the 5-10 commands you may need to give in a raid. As long as you can aim and act sensibly you could be mvp in any raid regardless.

So i mean like i feel bad and all but how would anyone deny you? The only way to do it is with friends and you should still have some of those, and im sure they have some. Also just putting this out there My group for sure needed to talk and were not even done. Every single person needs to be pulling weight or leveled past the raid/+270 power guns

25 RepliesDumb is the physical/psychological in capability to speak. Mute is a choice. If you're mute, it's your own fault, if you're dumb (in the medical sense not insult) then use a medium of sorts or expect to be mostly left out.
