People don't understand how much this game would benefit to a trading system... Since the accounts are saved on a CLOUD, that means duping cannot happen.
I have also picked up Legendaries and Exotics for a different class, wishing I could trade them with another player for similar equipment. YOU can earn your gear but it is your choice if you want to give it away, they should make a trading system where both players must accept what they wish to trade and must come to a final conclusion, if one player cancels to try to change anything, it will cancel the whole trade. Not hard.
The Cryptarch is a jerk, why have a chance of getting a Rare out of a Legendary Engram? Where is the "Earning"?
Random drops aren't "earning" since they are RANDOM, I play the game for much longer than my friend and he gets better loot than me...
EDIT: I can only EARN so much a week anyway, so if they limit how much I can EARN, which pretty much stops me from playing because bad drops.

trading in this game would be dumb. we dont need it. get drops for other classes. vault it and make that char class. I have in my vault a legendary helmet and a legendary chest piece. the helmet for a titan, the chest piece for a warlock. I play a hunter. yet im not complaining. get over it.

Edited by Droideka_VC: 9/16/2014 11:22:39 PMSharing would turn to selling and that would turn to people joining fire teams or sending messages trying to sell me shit. I dont miss that!

That is not how the game is supposed to be played. The game is designed so that you break down unneeded items for materials to upgrade better equipment that you want to keep. This is why the game has no NPC Vendor to sell your trash items to. My sniper needed 16+ weapon parts to upgrade to extra dmg and explosive rounds...that's 16+ green weapons that needed to be dismantled for parts. A trade system would ruin the upgrade system, as it would entice players to trade items they would need for upgrade materials for future equipment.

Earn it, lazy.

Play any MMO for three minutes and you'll see why trading is a bad idea. Also, it would give clan members another leg up in the loot race, so no thank you. If you could only trade objects of the same rarity, and NO GLIMMER, it might be feasible. That way you'd still earn your loot and there wouldn't be any unofficial "pay to win" spam everywhere.
-
Bungie doesn't want players acquiring items they didn't get on their own. They've been pretty upfront about that.
-
How about equal level trading? I will give a titan an exotic helmet for his hunter exotic helmet? No pay to win involved there. Simply me trading gear not for my class to someone who wants it, and In return all I get it is a equally rare item that I can actually use...

Your tears are delicious.
-
Trust me I know
-
That wouldn't work because some of the things you got in the limited/ghost edition you could get from the post master and there was an infinite amount of that item

Edited by Barry MacCockiner: 9/16/2014 10:08:15 PMI have mixed feelings about this post and my opinion is mixed. It's annoying to get legendary gear for other classes, but you got to earn it.
-
Ya noooooooo earn your own gear and if you do get something from another class put it in your vault.
-
But it doesn't. Loot wise the only thing that needs to be changed is the RNG in the Crucible.

Edited by LegendarySyn: 9/16/2014 9:42:35 PMNo way! You want it, earn it. This game would be ruined by having one grinder in a clan who earns all the gear and "trades" it out to the others who didn't earn anything. Stash those Legendary and Exotic items for other classes away in your vault and then go create a character to use them on. To your edit: The earning it is in leveling up your cryptarch and increasing your odds. The earning it is in it not being guaranteed from a legendary engram. *shakes head* Kids these days and their need for instant gratification.

I'd rather they add micro-transactions before they add a trade system. RMT would destroy this game quicker than anything else
-
God no
-
Nope.
-
If trading will be possible there will be a trading glitch be around sooner or later, so i hope they leave it as it is.
-
No trading. It would ruin the grind and the meaningfulness of finally getting the loot you've been working towards
-
Glimmer is kind of pointless to be honest since you don't really buy anything useful with it.
-
Bungie had said there will not be a trading system. Not only will it add to replay value but you can actually have a sense of accomplishment once you get your desired item.
-
Nope then everyone would have the best gear, but they need to up the drop rate for players below level 26... I'm stuck on 24 four god dang days bungie, I call bull on that... Hook a brother up, increase my drop rate ;) ;)
-
Nooooooooooooooooooo
-
-
Perhaps if there were a fee system...It would be the rarer the item the larger the fee you have to pay.

I agree on the Cryptarch, the guy is f**king useless sack of shit. Why work so hard and get a less chance of getting a bloody legendary huh? Not only that but I can't remember what his username was but he did have a good point that if trading was introduced into the game than people would/might abuse it by trading weapons when doing Crucible. All I want is a better loot system and better rate of drops. I did farming for half an hour and I got nothing, so did my friend BUT some other guy gets one. Like where is the fairness in that??
