PETITION TO SPACE COMBAT
Hi all,
me and 14 of my job friends are in concordance that this game needs space combat.
why space combat?
1 - the ships on the game are very detailed and wonderfully done.
2 - all ships i have seen so far have weapons on its downsides (it's an possible spoiler of a future dlc?)
3 - the feeling of travel the space is already in the game, why not take control of the ships? bungie did it before with Halo Reach.
4 - Squad mates on the space field...imagine battle the darkness like this...just SWEET.....
5 - GREATNESS, DISCOVERING THE UNKNOWN
If is greatness BUNGIE intended with this game so SPACE COMBAT IS WHAT THE GAME NEED.
I'd like to invite all of you whom agree with this and do a #SpaceCombat on the comments below. if you don't agree and think that's a bad idea(for some reason) let's all talk together about it.

1 ReplyI'm thinking something like in Star Wars Battlefront when you engage in space combat with the goal of boarding an enemy carrier, then you have to take that carrier from the inside. It would be amazing as a strike or a crucible map.

This means we eventually should go to all the planets. Mercury already appears in Crucible. The Space Jets should evolve into Space wars as well.

If you look at Halo Reach's space combat as a test run for Destiny and then look at the Destiny models haven't different capabilities (near-star, long-jump) and different weapons (lasers, rocket pods, missile pods) then it seems pretty clear space combat was meant to be in Destiny. Otherwise why bother with spaceship models at all? They serve no purpose at all.

I definitely like the sound of that. I was thinking the same thing the other day with my psn buddy. Also we had commented it would b nice to use the alien weapons against them. Not keep them cuz that would ruin the way they make us earn/find/buy weapons but in story while we run around b able to pick one up use it till ammo depletes n drop it.

TO WAR!!! #SpaceCombat[/quote] Well bungie proved they could do it they had a space battle in halo reach (the last real halo game) so it could very well be a possibility I mean ships currently in destiny mean exectly squat they cost a fortune scrap em u get nothing they are currently purely for looks and thats the problem they look good but really what are they for apart from appearing in orbit and a few cut scenes I say they have guns let us use them!
