The raid, it's just more Destiny beauty.
Wow.
I just booted up the raid to see what it was like, and there was no explanation or cutscenes explaining things. This made it amazing, we had to figure things out for ourselves for once! No hand holding!
The only instructions where to raise something, and that Vex were starting to control certain objectives.
I thought the raid were going to be a big deal and I was right, the story could benefit from the team who worked on the raids.
No cutscenes at the beginning? Not even any cheesy Dinklebot dialogue as you are flying to the destination? Bliss.
It is just great.

2 Repliesjesus christ, am I one of the only ones who listened to the NUMEROUS PRESS RELEASES about the raids? for everyone who didn't, here's the breakdown; There are no tips, no checkpoints, no objectives. the only way you'll figure out what to do is by solving it yourself or waiting until guides are posted online. They made it difficult for a reason. this is going to stress teamwork, and the first group to complete it will probably take six HOURS to do so.

1 ReplyErrrr. That was the whole point. You are given no information about it and no tips on what to do, you just have to get through it. I don't believe anyone ever said it had anything to do with the story.

They said a week or so ago; that there would be very limited information given out to assist you and your team. They want you to do team work and put your heads together, only then would you be able to pass it's trials. But not before fighting tooth and nail for every inch of ground. This makes it bland? I think you just got your ass handed to you faster than it ever has been, and that the shock of that hasn't worn off yet. That type of shock, when experienced by a weak mind/will, translates into anger and whiny bitching (as we see in your OP). BTW: I'm laughing my nuts off at all of the people who're expecting (after reading what happened to the Pro's Bungie had test out the Vault) to blow through the Vault in an hour or so. That Bungie was over-hyping the difficulty of the Vault. Now they're on the Forums crying the most bitter of bloody tears about how "the Vault is too hard!!! This is bullshit, Bungle!!!!". By. The. Gods. ... My sides!!!!! Let me translate your "boredom". Your post should read: "I got killed so violently and quickly, that it can only be described as deeply pornographic..."

This isn't at you directly but I dislike all these posts about how bland Destiny is as if they're Gordon Ramsey. Most of the forum thinks it's all about the story and therefore is making judgements on the entire game based on a minor part of it. I'm sorry for stooping so low as to rant but -blam!- man.

Uh raids in other games did have some backstory and some dialogue during the raids. WoW comes to mind, Black Temple, Molten core... Etc all were tied to the current game somehow and offered dialogue and cutscenes to offer some background Just sayin

Anyone in need of a vault team and is 26+ on XBOX One add me and message me and at 3 pm I will be starting up the raid group. If we get a surplus of people I will start organizing people based on class, gear, and grimoire score. ;D

1 ReplyI think people are confusing the OP's issue of "Wanting a little background information on why you are doing the raid in the first place" and "wanting information on the raid"... But if this is what i have to expect from bungie games...i fear for the future of gaming. First i lose my SW KotOR shit to this MMO Fandom...now this...i just hope Dragon Age will renew my hope in gaming...but i'm not holding my breathe.
