Yeah, how dare they force to you read something!!! We want everything laid out in front of us by a harem of bikini clad video vixens and tied up in nice pretty bows. I can see you're the type who needs to be spoon fed his information. Hell, you link an article from Gamestop, which precipitates your inability to come up with your own conclusions or do your inquisition.
What he should have said is "It's different after 20 hours if you pay attention." Problem is the average gamer's attention span is short than a goldfish.

"average gamer's attention span is short than a goldfish" Thing is most average gamer's have jobs/school to go to and some of us have wife's/husbands and kids as well that take our time up. now when I sit down to play a game I want my head to be in the game and not have to stop playing to read about it just so I can better understand it. that just stops the flow of the game and makes it less enjoyable. also if I wanted to read I would have got a book and not a video game
-
More like: How dare they not include it in the game, where it belongs.

COPY/PASTE from response to the OP: Grimore Cards are not just for decorations, my friend. Apparently you've not yet gained an undertanding of how things work. Get caught up, or get lost.

I ask you to read the posts below by Hellekeen and realize what an idiot you sound like. Grimoire cards are worse than decorations because people can actually see decorations. Grimoire cards are hidden on some website. They belong in the game, on a separate tab right between inventory and settings

This, at LEAST

Edited by Hellekeen: 9/16/2014 12:22:29 PMon this point , again you are right.. its not for decoration, its for the absolutely lazyness of the developers to include them in a proper way.. the grimoire cards are just a fat-ass lazy excuse and a puny try to populate the webpage
-
Who says it belongs in the game? The story isn't for everyone, so why should other players have to go through that if they don't want to? If you want the full game and you are actually interested in the title, then you can check out your cards.
-
well you are right also.. who could thoght that a STORY belongs INTO a game.. stupid whyners.. of course you cant "skip" story parts and cutscenes that try to explain about the origins.. and which MORON could impossible think of that somethig like that would belong in the beginning of the game? I mean all the DREADFULL cineastics and cutscenes, not to mention the absolutely disgusting storylines in for example Diablo 3 show that telling a story is just damaging the pure and holy grindfeast experience everyone was waiting for.. FINALLY no stupid questions and answers and the gamer of today can read ALL of this in a Game Forum.. silly me =)

Well...some of us don't need to have everything explained to us to know what's going on. You're in a living, breathing ecosystem with things changing day-by-day, new challenges to undertake and old ones to revisit. Some people get it, some don't. Pretty obvious which side of the coin you fall under.
-
The large majority of players are just there to shoot guns and cast abilities. I am personally interested in the story, but not everyone is. They could make skippable cutscenes, but instead they decided to incorporate the story into a cards system. You'll notice it isn't all there, either. So this means they plan to show us it in the future releases of content. It's all well planned. And will be shown when they decide to show. Don't forget they have more games coming out. They can't solve everything for us yet.
-
i think you are right.. screw the last part of "the hobbit" also ! just get them to sit in the audience and let them read the book.. those bitches.. would be a better social experience also. whiney complainers.. if they cant imagine the colours and 3D animations, then they are probaly that kind of ass-hats that order food at a reaturant and expect it to be cooked, and SERVED! those damn COD campers.."!!!!oneoneoneeleven!

You realize the game isn't complete yet, and the story you see in this game is roughly the same amount of story you see in EVERY Bungie game
-
False, every Halo including ODST and Reach each had a more vibrant and engaging story than Destiny.
