Yeah my friend got 3 exotic engrams back to back...I've yet to recieve one...the loot is just completely random and those saying its too easy to recieve "random" loot are simply lucky as f***...and have no concept of statistics...
I on the other hand am the guy who never won quiz bingo for extra credit in middle school...my luck is atrocious haha...

best way to consistently get better loot is to use your crucible marks and vanguard marks to purchase the legendary armor...thats what I had to do...I got lucky as fook with the strange coins and was able to purchase an exotic from xur"...but as far as loot goes I've had to earn all mine...I would love some handouts though haha...

Thats not true because you can only get 100 marks each week..... My friends did have 3-4 legendarys already just as drop from strike playlists and those are the weapon you have to buy with crucible marks at the shop xD

Edited by Kurasaki: 9/15/2014 3:52:37 PMYou wont be able to purchase a full set but you can get close...using the crucible marks to buy gauntles/chest piece/boots then using vanguard marks to purchase gauntles/chest piece/boots will net you two legendaries...getting anything else is luck at "this point" but hopefully in the future that will change... Also uprgrading your crytarch gives you a legendary/exotic care package which can net your the helmet or some other peice of gear so grinding for engrams can help as well... Take it from someone with little luck in finding legendary/exotic armor...

Level 28 bosses have the same droprate as a level 5 fallen Its much luck because i play with my friends all day and they get 1 legendary engram every 2 strikes and i didnt have any legendary engram in the last 2 days And my cryptarch is close to level 10 now and i still dont have anything goods from those engrams when i ranked the cryptarch

Every level he gives you a care package of engrams...but its random as to whther theyll be decoherent (blue/rare) or legendary...
