I think a big thing that *could* liven up the destiny universe is to have the worlds in actual trouble and/or threat. Each planet is under a threat, and the higher the threat % the more enemies and events (invasions) will happen in the areas in patrol mode. Players who involve themselves into pushing the threat back will gain more rep/loot/exp/etc. In order to push the % down, players have to complete tasks (bounties/special missions)/world bosses (could be part of the invasion force)/strikes (including hard mode strikes) . Once the % is low enough, a special strike or mission will open up for a certain amount of time as a bonus to the players who pushed the threat back. Basically, make the world less static and bland, make the "threat" of the darkness more present in the game.

  • This is a great idea. Would encourage teamwork. And it would be on-going so has a sense of persistence.

  • This, if the game is to be evolving and living, then breathe some life into it, random invasions, mega events! would love that.

  • Between Edible Pie's comments and xJaerx's comment, That would be a Nasty *** FireFight! That is Actually a really good idea. each clan has a In Game faction Zone in the city under the traveler! But the factions would have to be located near the walls of the city. in the invasion, enemies spawn in the faction areas, Each clan has a faction control %. That percentage is how much space you control compared to other factions through out the city. But the only way to keep Faction control you have to kill invading enemies before the other factions do. You should get X-amount of Special Vanguard points, crucible points or whichever the longer you hold a higher faction area. if you hold it for a week, the 5 top players in each clan the hold the most faction in each clan get other unique gear/ weapons. This would make each Clan compete one other! plus if opposing clans/factions enter zones (we will call it restricted areas) The current event becomes PVP/PVE! Thus earning Crucible Points! If a clan member is Killed by player then each play is allotted 3 lives! after that they are not allowed to continue the event! Overrun should be near the End of the event, Its an End event ending that Enemies just pour down alone with bosses from each planet! Creating an event in this size would prolly take some time for Bungie to come up with Mind you! A safe zone.... should their really be one?? lol i mean it would be an invasion! Technically their are no safe zones in war! Events should last a week! and should have a 1 week Grace Period! Each faction controls a Set amount of land! say 1 - 3% of over all Land under the traveler! Lvl of enemies should range from 24 - 30. Im saying that low right now because i don't know how high of a lvl you can go to in this game. I Still think their should be a level system to all Sub-Class Abilities! as you level them they get stronger! Once weapons and gear level up you should be able to Transform them into something new! (obviously you would need special items to lvl them up)a better version of that gear with lower stats at first but after leveled all the way their much better! Now if bungie does this then that will give birth to higher leveled characters 30+ actually it will prolly go to 40+. But then theirs shop items. Maybe as you lvl up the items in shop get better. This will Bring more versatility to the game, In the end result it will give birth to higher forms of Game play and probably put Destiny on a Whole new map verses other games.

  • Thanks, I just wish Bungie Would take these Ideas into heavy consideration! If they take these Idea and implement them into the game, that would make it all worth it!! I try and come up with Ideas that are good and thought through! If bungie were to actually read these topics, and what to Voice of the gamers have to say, then they could do some massive updating!

  • Actually, i think Mass Effect 3 had something like this in the multiplayer, where certain zones were affected by the players progress in the game. I think putting a tug-of-war type system in place between NPC (darkness/cabal/fallen/vex/hive/etc) and the players could give it a bit of life beyond the standard "grind" that I see people Lament. Many other MMO's have done this as well and it was a nice addition to get your guild together to push the zone in your favor.

  • I'm just saying, make it like Undead Nightmare's system. Every so often, have a planet be "under attack". Like, you have planets that are 'safe' where there are less enemies spawn. Then they can be "invaded" where more enemies spawn. Then, if the threat isn't quelled, it becomes "overrun" and there are many enemies, if not that, the enemies from the invasion status become higher level.

  • i agree with this, i think think this is an awesome idea for bungie to implement into the world. i think you should have a threat level quest for each planet as a secondary main objective/ continuation to the story-line. I myself was a little displeased with the story line, I pre-ordered the game a week before it came out because the ghost edition was out, while waiting 6 months for it to come out. Planet system is a bit limited. I think they should make story-line missions while incorporating Multiple strikes in a single playthrough. We will call it Story strike. maybe have a higher chance to get rarer loot, maybe high end blue set items. That's me though!
